It’s amazing what ammonia mixed with the right ingredients will do to the occupants. And if the AC goes out, they have to come out eventually.

I’m convinced this is mostly a scheme to send manufacturing money to representative’s districts or senator’s states. There are three manufacturers, all of whom own a few politicians. Oshkosh, AM General and Force Protection. They were producing scads of these for Afghanistan. But those contracts have (I think) played out. If they shut down production then those companies are out of business. That’s thousands of jobs.
Incidentally, the Venezuelan police are using vehicles like this to machine gun crowds with impunity.
