Jerk of the Week - Gay Marriage Activists

Liberals are always spouting that they practice tolerance and that mean old conservatives are all bigots who would round up undesirables into internment camps if given half a chance. We know that such views are nonsense, and that progressive liberals prove themselves on a daily basis to be festering mounds of hate and anger. If there's one thing I despise, it's rank hypocrisy and many of our Jerk of the Week winners are guilty of practicing it. Our winner this week is also guilty of this charge and they're becoming increasingly emboldened. Their actions have hit the internet this week in regards to the Mozilla Firefox browser and has made national news. Our Jerk of the Week is gay marriage activists.

Long ago, gay marriage activists opined that they only wanted tolerance from mainstream society for their desire for same-sex marriage. They continually invoked civil rights arguments as they protested from one end of the country to the other. However, their aim has not become one of tolerance, but of forced acceptance and rejoicing in the concept of same-sex marriage. If you do not actively support and endorse their position, they will do everything in their power to destroy you. The latest casualty is Brendan Eich, the CEO of Mozilla, who was forced out of his job because he supported traditional marriage. In 2008, he gave $1000 to the Proposition 8 campaign in California to define marriage as between a man and a woman. When he was promoted to CEO, this fact came to light once again and the gay marriage activists went into a rage. One site, OK Cupid, even asked users to stop using Firefox because of it.

Now Brendan Eich resigned (pushed out) due to his beliefs by the relentless attack of these jerks. Even more laughable is that Mozilla touts their policy of tolerance, equality, and inclusiveness in a press release:

"Mozilla believes both in equality and freedom of speech. Equality is necessary for meaningful speech. And you need free speech to fight for equality. Figuring out how to stand for both at the same time can be hard.

Our organizational culture reflects diversity and inclusiveness. We welcome contributions from everyone regardless of age, culture, ethnicity, gender, gender-identity, language, race, sexual orientation, geographical location and religious views. Mozilla supports equality for all.

We have employees with a wide diversity of views. Our culture of openness extends to encouraging staff and community to share their beliefs and opinions in public. This is meant to distinguish Mozilla from most organizations and hold us to a higher standard. But this time we failed to listen, to engage, and to be guided by our community.

While painful, the events of the last week show exactly why we need the web. So all of us can engage freely in the tough conversations we need to make the world better."

Having a different opinion on gay marriage is not allowed by these activist scum. They seek to destroy the livelihoods and personal lives of those that have the effrontery to stand up for traditional marriage. The supporters of Prop 8 in California have been harassed ever since their donations became public with websites devoted to showing their names, phone numbers, and addresses. Gay marriage activists regularly showed up at places of business to harass and intimidate traditional marriage supporters. I remember one old woman who gave a $100 donation being harassed for hours at a restaurant until she broke down and apologized. The zealots then demanded that she give money to a gay marriage group.

Other people have lost their jobs as well for daring to stand up for their religious principles. The director of a Sacramento theater director, Scott Eckern, was forced to resign due to his support for Prop 8. The underlying theme is the insane intolerance shown by gay marriage activists. Their statement that they seek tolerance is a lie as their actions show that they demand blind and total obedience to their viewpoint. They are also cowards who only target those who are unable to defend themselves. While most black voters in California supported Prop 8, these brave soldiers for same-sex marriage didn't once go to the hood to protest. Instead, they confined their rage to Mormon churches and old people. I've yet to see these people storm a mosque to demand acceptance of their gay lifestyle from Moslems.

Gay marriage activists are utter hypocrites. They use campaigns of harassment and intimidation to quiet those who stand up for their religious beliefs. A person who has never discriminated against anyone, who may have gay people working for them, will find themselves tarred and feathered by the mob of "tolerant" activists. Just ask Christian bakers who are being forced out of business how tolerant these people are. That's why gay marriage activists are our Jerk of the Week.

Let’s get real here and stop calling these people soft names, like jerks.

They’re a dangerous bunch of tyrants and we need to start calling them that yesterday.

This term “gay marriage” is nonsensical and irrational and should never be used. It really is to determine “proper” perceptions in the masses, especially in children, to destroy Reason and Logic and Natural Law.

All Legal language should never be able to be “twisted” or “flipped”. It is the destruction of “Rule of Law” (based on Reason).

Marxism always twists and destroys the meaning of words, so they can control the narrative and destroy Logic and actually erase Christian concepts from the minds of children.

They do this in Brave New World-—where they make the word “mother” into an ugly thing. This whole “homosexual” push, is to destroy Christian Ethics from our Founding Documents and insert Rule of Man for Rule of Law.

Since Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr-—the Leftists/Progressives have destroyed our “legal” system “Rule of Law”-—by doing what Cicero stated would happen when “Right Reason according to Natural Law” is removed from “Just” Laws.

When Reason and Natural Moral Law is removed from “Just Law”, there is only arbitrary unjust law which is unconstitutional according to our Constitution. John Marshall when on the Court, stated that all unjust laws are “Null and Void”. It is what the Court stated at the Nuremberg trials. Crimes against Humanity——any arbitrary law devoid of Reason and Natural Moral Law.

These guys love diversity of opinion as much as Henry Ford loved diversity of color on the Model T.

They’ve still got a bit of a run ... it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

Opera and Chrome are great alternatives.

I realize there are some issues concerning censorship by Google, so Opera might be the choice. The latest version, however, doesn’t seem to support importing bookmarks. Chrome has no problem with that.

Exactly. Marriage is between a man and a woman. Always has been, always will be. I don’t care what legal arrangements are made to accommodate these deviants.

Anyone that believes the homosexuals are just looking for a little tolerance needs to buy a clue before their entire society is destroyed. That is the goal. The destruction of any remaining moral guidelines that hold our society together. Destruction of the marriage, forcing people to violate their religious beliefs or lose their business.Forcing people out of business or positions for personal beliefs that have nothing to do with the business or the work.
