Call Any Vegetable

Call any vegetable; call it by name
Call one today; when you get off the train
Call any vegetable; and the chances are good
That the vegetable will respond to you

(Some people don’t go for prunes... I don’t know,
I’ve always found that if they...)

Call any vegetable; Pick up your phone
Think of a vegetable, lonely at home
Call any vegetable; and the chances are good
That the vegetable will respond to you

Rutabaga, rutabaga, rutabaga, rutabay-y-y-y-y...

(A prune isn’t really a vegetable... CABBAGE is a vegatable..)

No one will know if you don’t want to let them know
No one will know ‘less it’s you that might tell them so

Call and they’ll come to you
Smiling and covered with dew
Vegetables dream, vegetables dream
Vegetables dream, of responding to you

Standing there shiny and proud by your side
Holding your joint while the neighbors decide
Why is a vegetable something to hide/

(A lot of people don’t bother about their friends in the vegetable kingdom.
They think: Oh, ah, what can I say? What can a person like myself say
to a vegetable? But the answer is simple, my friends: Just call, and tell
them how you feel about muffins...pumpkins...wax paper... Caledonia,
Mahoganies, elbows... green things in general... and soon, a new rapport...
You and your new little green and yellow buddies, grooving together...
Oh, no! Maintaining your cool together! Worshipping together in the
Church of your choice... (only in America...)

Call any vegetable; call it by name
You gotta call one today
When you get off the train

Call any vegetable,
And the chances are good
WOW! That the vegetable will respond to you

(Oh, no! Can you see them responding? That pumpkin is breathing hard...
h-h-h-h-h-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-HHHHHHHHHHHH!! (What a pumpkin...))”

Isn’t the point of a vegan diet to reduce cancer, heart disease and mental health. Liberalism is indeed a mental disorder and explains their believe in their climate change fantasy

My husband went vegan for many years. He stopped after he got cancer.

I hope your husband fared better than my father. He went vegan after cancer surgery, got involved with what I can best refer to as a food cult that convinced him (he was in his 80s at the time) that veganism and "juicing" would cure his cancer. They also got him to get rid of his "pill pushing" oncologist and, in fact, most of his doctors

It was only after his cancer returned with a vengeance that the family was able to make him give up his vegan style. Unfortunately, he lasted only another two or three months once he went back to non-vegan.

My biggest regret, aside from missing him, is that I had his "handlers" on the phone shortly after his final diagnosis and return to food sanity. Luckily for them, I had arrived at my father's place about an hour before after stepping off a red-eye from California, and was too tired to tell these charlatans what I REALLY thought of them.

Another lunatic theory that doesn’t stand the light of scrutiny.

The mental problems started before they went vegan.

Maybe Hollywood Noah, The real Noah ate anything that moved.

Gen 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

It is obvious that it is dangerous to be vegan. Look at Linda McCartney. She at the most “healthy” diet on the planet and she still got cancer and died young.

Their kids seem sad to me, too. Had one on my school bus who got all excited whenever his mother included canned chicken noodle soup in his lunch... “Mmmmm, bits of chicken! It’s my favorite,” He said (and I felt really bad for him since he was only six and was clearly craving meat).

I do have a friend with diabetes who is now a vegan and supposedly it is helping her out with the blood sugar control.

That seems contrary to what we know about blood sugar, which is fat and protein help lower blood sugar. Unless they are vegan that isn’t eating fruit or grain, which would be torturously restrictive.

I know she is eating fruits and grains. I like her a lot but trying to change her mind on something like try some fat and protein would not be a good idea for me….lol.

I have had to cook for vegans. They were so sanctimonous and smug and sooooo much better than my meat-eating self.

My wife is a healthy vegan, but she is as conservative as, or more so than I am, if he latter is possible. Maybe it is leftism and not diet that destroys the health of vegan Democrats. The mind is a terrible thing to screw up with leftist brainwashing, and it could revolt by killing off the leftist body that possesses it.

Being brought up on a ranch in a family that doesn’t think drugs or processed foods are healthy, I don’t do/eat any of that stuff unless I’m starving in a food desert, I take vitamins and I only use natural remedies. I do eat a lot of fresh veggies and fruit, but I’m not a vegetarian in any form-I eat meat and eggs, but it has to be free-range, fresh caught, grass fed, etc. I do a physical job, I’m slender, strong and healthy. I do not use sugar, avoid foods heavy on carbs, like wheat products, and only eat brown rice. It may not be the diet for everyone, but it has worked for me just about all my life.

The human body needs meat protein, especially for the brain and muscles. When I lived in the city, there was a family of vegetarians in the neighborhood-everyone looked healthy, but the kids were always being given drugs by a doctor for some allergy or infection-like that was not worse than feeding them some chicken fish, or even beef now and again? I thought it was child abuse, and I still do...
