Our post-partisan President reached a new low yesterday. Speaking at Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor, Michigan he declared Paul Ryan’s budget a “stinkburger” or “meanwich.” Obama is apparently promoting an increase in the minimum wage. He went to Zingerman’s because they allegedly offer a “fair” wage. The left doesn’t seem to understand that a “fair” wage is whatever an employee agrees to work for. In other words, it isn’t determined by government bureaucrats or academics. That’s beside the point of course, we know Obama believes everything in our lives must be decided in Washington. The problem of course is that Zingerman’s isn’t the place to make this argument and the Paul Ryan budget is really not relevant to anything.

If the Republicans were smart (I know, fantasyland...) they would start a campaign to raise the price of a Big Mac by 25%! They should start every speech with, “Let’s apply a 25% tax to fast food!”
When the Dems start saying that the Pubs hate the poor, the Pubs just point out that raising the minimum wage would do the same thing. Just start slamming it home, no matter what, like the Dems do - “The Democrats want to raise the price of your groceries/hamburgers/whatever.” Keep up the mantra. Be relentless!
But they won’t.
The symbolic value of his sandwich was priceless...I guess.

He doesn’t have a problem paying 14 buck for a damn sandwich so nobody should have a problem paying 14 bucks for a damn sandwich.
I’m not rich but I’m also not poor, but it wouldn’t matter if I had the money of Bill Gates I still wouldn’t pay 14 buck for a damn sandwich.
Raise that min wage to $10.10 and lets see how many “rich” people paying 14 bucks for a sandwiche it takes to keep a sandwich shop in business.
Not too many people eat $14 sandwiches on their way to getting rich.

Anyone that pays 14 bucks for a sandwich has more money than they got sense.
Only sandwich worth 14 bucks is a rib eye steak stuck between 2 pieces of French bread and served by a good looking big hootered woman.
In this case, that would be the American public.
