A Phobia is an unfounded fear.

I have no unfounded fear of homosexuals.

I have no unfounded fear of their militant urges. either.

I do fear the bastardization of terminology however.... a fear that could in no way be described as unfounded .

Another deception is the made-up word “homophobia,” which is a prized tool of the radical Left, a bludgeon designed to silence critics of the militant homosexual movement. A phobia is a persistent, irrational fear. It implies mental instability. After all, if your fear is not rational, then there’s something wrong in your thinking, and you are needlessly fearing whatever it is you irrationally fear.”

This is pretty much exactly what I have been saying for years. No one is afraid of homosexuals. We are merely disgusted by them.

Sounds like the NYT bestseller right behind BipolarBobs "The psyche behind Americas liberal left and why it's so destructive".

I don’t fear homos either. They’re just biological freaks. What’s to fear? I don’t fear freaks.

How about “AIDsPhobia”, or “HIVPhobia”?

The impression I get is that liberals and gay activists are pissed off all the time. Just an observation. Getting nationwide homosexual marriage will not be enough. It would just move the goalposts, to set up more and more demands. And the cycle repeats, as the liberals will be pissed off that the next set of demands are not being met, because society is so homophobic, etc.

It all gets tiresome after a while.

Actually, when you look at the root of the words, you see that it is even more of a made-up word. As you note, phobia mean fear, especially irrational fear. But the correct meaning of “homo” is either “man”, as in homo sapiens, or “same”, as in homogeneous. So their word is either “fear of man” or “fear of sameness”. I don't fear man, nor do I fear sameness, so no matter what I may feel about homosexuals, homophobia is totally irrelevant as a descriptor.

I do not like the term “Homophobia” I work with a homosexual man. I am not afraid of him. My dislike of homosexuals has nothing to do with irrational fear. In fact I understand what they do quite well.

I dislike his lifestyle based upon assumptions that are dependable rationally, religiously and biologically. His morality is repellant and I do not condone it. We get along fine because I figure he has enough trouble with God that he doesn’t need any from me.

That said; he knows to never “flirt” with me and that if he does I will smack a sexual harassment complaint against him faster than he can change his skirt (Yes he will occasionally wear a skirt)

I don’t fear homos either. They’re just biological freaks. What’s to fear? I don’t fear freaks.

What they're trying to create is a web of secret, behind-the-scenes office-political relationships that will allow them to administer beatdowns to resistant, "non-reconciling" </cant and homolobby b.s.> heterosexual Americans.

By that I mean, someone tells you that you're a bigot because you're not down with homoagenda items X, Y, or Z. You tell them to eff off. Then your boss calls you in and fires you. Pretty soon people are self-censoring, and the guy who pulled the stunt is preening for his homopals and bragging about taking away your living.

The professional-negro network/lobby/cartel did the same thing to Paula Deen. It's a beatdown, economic terrorism in drag at the micro scale.

Some folks have been calling it a punishment of God.

In a broad sense, it is. I still do not believe, however, that it’s a curse out of the blue like the biblical leprosy. Rather it’s what you get when sinful persons get next to no guidance because the guides are blind themselves. When even Christendom has dropped the ball of sexual purity, figuring that God won’t really care whether anything goes, then God shows us that oh yes, He does care.

As the admittedly non biblical proverb goes, sometimes we do not miss the water until the well runs dry.

This isn’t just some nuisance. It’s bullies. Lust fills hearts with the devil’s own power. It’s a picture of how to go to hell. A little titillation, huge amounts of misery, and you’re stuck. The devil has employed you against yourself.

Of COURSE we should care for such people. Not even this kind of sinning is unrecoverable. The Cross is all-sufficient and never let anyone persuade you otherwise. But the way we should care for them is by daring to tell them that no, God does have a better way! And being willing to weather the opprobrium which we will get from the world, but not from heaven.

They’re confusing homophobia with gay bashing. I have no innate fear of homosexuals, although I thoroughly reject and condemn their errant and anti biological BEHAVIOR.

I observe that we do “fear” spiritual Typhoid Marys.

Choosing the fear of the Lord is the answer. And that is to hate all evil. We should much, much sooner snatch these offenders from this rightly hated evil, but if they absolutely insist on being identified with their evil, we should then take them at their word.

I don’t think America will necessarily take this lying down forever. It’s people who are stubborn about going to hell, not God who is stubborn about being unforgiving. But recovery will come in the form of recovering a larger good relationship with the Lord.

Homo bashing is either two weirdos beating each other up or them making a pass on the wrong person and getting a violent response.

Male/females fights can get pretty nasty so imagine two women or two men in a cat fight.

The author has a great point. Let's start using homophobia correctly - to refer to those who are afraid of homosexuals, and afraid to deny their demands, no matter how ridiculous.
