Yahoo Voices ^ | January 28, 2014 | Mark R. Whittington

Posted on 01/28/2014 12:10:14 PM PST by Marcus

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. was recently censored by Arizona Republicans for being too much of a RINO and a generally irascible fellow. Sarah Palin has taken to her Facebook page to rally to the venerable war hero's defense.

So it’s your take that McCain is on a par with Reagan?

Palin is not going to run for President in 2016. Face it. She may run for the Senate in Arizona.

I’ve always been a big fan of term limits.

McQueeg’s a lying weasel. I’d prefer Sarah not go out of her way to defend him.

Sarah Palin is the best thing that happened to America since wool blankets. If you wish to say you appreciate many of the things Palin says and advocates, I can understand that.

It gets my dander up when people start cutting her down and tossing her out.  What we see here is that you don't like reasoned criticism.  What does that gain us, other than a blurred focus as to what we do and don't support.

She’s the one who Ted Cruz thanks for his winning a seat in the Senate.  What did you expect Ted to do, announce that she had nothing to do with it.  The guy doesn't want to give her a hard time.  I still laugh every time I hear of the folks she supports having won, remembering that many she supported didn't win.  And then there's the issue of her supporting McCain, and her followers saying she had nothing to do with him winning?  One nearly suffers whip-lash watching these expressions on the forum.

She ain’t perfect but she’s a helluva lot better than anything I’ve seen in 40 years of following politics.  Here's where you really leave me.  With her existing track record, she surpasses President Reagan in your mind.  Now perhaps you didn't really mean that.   Perhaps you did.  I'm sorry, she doesn't have enough track record to go that far.  We may appreciate some of the things she has done and said, but there's no basis for trumping Reagan whatsoever.

Can you name one politician who reminds us to love Jesus every chance she can?  Do you think Reagan's morals were inferior to Palin's?  Reagan was a church going man, but he didn't feel that he needed to beat people over the head with it.  He lived a good life, and lived by example.  I consider that to be evidence of a very Godly man.

We are not going to save America without Him and she’s one of the very, very few who knows it.
While I don't necessarily disagree in part here, you can't say we're not going to save America without God, and then give kudos to a guy like McCain, and then act as if you're giving God all the help you can.

Nope.......You know exactly what I said and in which context so don't bother trying to instigate a fight which I have no intention of engaging in...........

Yes, I know exactly what you said. It was an unfortunate choice of words IMO.

Palin defending McCain who is a egotistical anti-American harlot...

is not on a par with

Oliver North showing loyalty to Reagan who was trying to circumvent the Congressional hand off of El Salvador and Nicaragua to the Communists in perpetuity.

McCain played patti-cake with our terrorist enemies, and Reagan sought to destroy them.

BuckeyeTexan:
Horsesh*t. She didn’t rally to his defense. She made a few positive comments and then outlined, specifically, where she disagrees with McCain. This is just another attempt to marginalize what she actually said about McCain.

From the article:

I consider Senator John McCain an American hero and a friend. He fights to remind our President that the federal government's first priority must be strong defense of our homeland1, and, like Congressman Johnson, he fights against big-spending colleagues who don't prioritize for our military's needs.2 Upon the Senator's shoulders he's carried part of our message of opposition to today's "fundamental transformation"3 of America directly to the problem: President Obama 4and Harry Reid's far left agenda.
  1. Which is why he opposes securing our borders and embraces amnesty.
  2. Which is why he voted to end the F-22, saying: [it] may very well become the most expensive, corroding, hangar queen ever in the history of modern aviation
  3. Which is why he holds "town hall" meetings on amnesty... tickets for which aren't available to the general public.
  4. Which is why he made this Freudian slip. (John McCain Says Obama Will Save America)

From the Article:

I appreciate Senator McCain's steadfastness in demanding truth in the White House's Benghazi cover-up. Because of his persistence we WILL get that truth, and then more eyes will be open to see how dangerous an Obama-led retreating America is in this volatile world.1
  1. Which is why McCain refused to back impeachment hearings over Benghazi. (Huffington Post link.)

From the Article:

But then Palin ever so gently gave her former running mate the back of her hand.
It goes without saying we don't all agree on all political issues. For instance, I shall keep pushing to open ANWR, I oppose letting illegal aliens cut in line and receive American benefits via "immigration reform," and I oppose any Congressional action that allows President Obama to incur more U.S. debt.
That's the back of her hand? Hell, I've received praise from my own father more critical than that.

DoughtyOne:
I particularly like the photo of McCain with the Muslim Brotherhood leadership. Nothing says support for our military quite like that.

You're not the only one:
Egyptians Enraged by U.S. Outreach to Muslim Brotherhood

First two paragraphs of that article:

In the eyes of tens of millions of Egyptians, Senators John McCain’s and Lindsey Graham’s recent words and deeds in Egypt—which have the “blessing” of President Obama—have unequivocally proven that U.S. leadership is aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Egyptian media is awash with stories of the growing anger regarding this policy.
Yep, that's some support!
Even the Egyptians see him as more more an enemy of justice than Palin does here!

Indeed! McCain/Feingold is arguably more un-American than 0bamaCare in basic principles and that barely scratches the surface. His treachery has been endless.

Thank you.

The way I see it is that we should start being critical of people who allow this to go on.
Like the police officers who know there’s perjury and theft and abuse being perpetrated by their fellow officers yet refuse to act.
We should have no mercy for those who apologize and minimize the actions of the unjust, and that includes Mrs. Palin.

Taking Freeper personalities out of this, I agree with your comments here.

Folks on this forum were so enthralled with George Bush from Texas, that they simply refused to see any warning signs related to him in 2000.

Here we go again, and I’m sick of it.

If a person can’t see McCain for what he is and trash the guy relentlessly, what value are they to us?

Right now we have a Speaker in the House who couldn’t reason his way out of helping the Democrats solidify their hold on power for another fifty years.

Do we really need someone else who can’t?

Palin

Friends, Freepers, Conservatives, lend me your ears.
I come to chastise McCain, not to praise him.
