In the 1960s, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn saw themselves as urban guerrillas who just might be able to overthrow the U.S. government and force an end to the Vietnam War. They were members of the Weather Underground, a radical offshoot of the antiwar movement, who went into hiding for a decade after a bomb accidentally exploded, killing three members of the group.

Nearly 30 years after surrendering to police, Ayers and Dohrn, both in their 60s, are tenured university professors whose work on school reform and juvenile justice have won them bipartisan respect.

Ayers is an informal adviser to Mayor Richard M. Daley and has been awarded more than $50 million in charitable grants for his promotion of small schools as a solution to a crisis in education. Dohrn lectures widely on children’s law and serves on a variety of boards and committees. Together, they have raised three boys in the intellectual haven of Hyde Park, where Sen. Isn’t that where Stanley Ann Dunham’s uncle, Charles T Payne was living when he was Deputy Director of the Library at the University of Chicago, until he retired at the age of 66 - he was at the university when Zero was a lecturer at the university, and (heavens to Betsy!) Chicago is where Stanley Ann Dunham was working as an au pair...when she went to the theatre in Chicago to see the film Black Orpheus which was released in the US in December, 1959 iirc.

We don’t see her in Hawaii until she shows up with a two or three year old in 1963. You don’t think she might have been acquainted with William and Bernadine, do you? What a small world that would be...

Just recently I read that the court appointed a Monitor for Sheriff Joe re; profiling. That has been going on for a long time(the case). Why would they appoint a monitor so recently? Just saying

Great call. All newspapers have hard copies from the beginning of time. While they are trying to digitalize everything, there are actual papers available. I would obtain them for “cold cases” in my line of work.

Very easy to obtain a hard copy of an old newspaper. It will be original and in good condition. The only obstacle is that the Honolulu paper(in question) will claim they don’t have hard copies. BS. I get papers from the 50’s and 60’s from lesser known newspapers. They have warehouses will many copies of each and every paper they ever printed.

I look forward to their announcement and hopefully it lives up to the billing and helps to explain their announce and wait strategy.

This is a very different sort of war than the usual tanks rolling in the streets kind of thing, though if we don't arrest this progression we'll probably get around to that sooner rather than later, likely with a Waco on steroids event for effect first.

In this phase of the war, they've been able to advance and counter using standard issue Alinsky tactics to "birther" those racist voices, who laughingly call our president's identity and eligibility into question, with as much public ridicule as possible on one hand, while removing any and all proof with the other.

Masterful, but after all these years and now into the second term it's grown past predictable, tiresome and boring.

I'm ready for some truth! And now that we, the people, are feeling the painful effects of the progressive poison in that IV drip they've mainlined into US, perhaps the time is right? Are we there yet?!?

The thing they're after has committed outrage after outrage with impunity, things if done at any other time would have destroyed any other, but with this beast the many cuts don't bleed, they heal.

I may be impatient, but I can understand waiting to get close enough to hit the beast with their one and only silver bullet.
