Obama isn’t running for re-election. What difference does any of this make?

...has also raised questions about his competence in the same way that the Bush administration's botched response to Hurricane Katrina undermined any semblance of Republican efficiency. The key difference, of course, is that Bush wasn't responsible for the damage Katrina caused.

Saying this is Obama's Katrina moment is like comparing stage 4 cancer to a sniffle.
Katrina was nothing but a successful effort by Dem's to coverup their incompetence and corruption at the city and state level.
Since the Dem's portray Katrina as something less than Bush's worst screwup, they can still say hussein isn't as bad as Bush,

Mr. Obama is now threatened by a similar toxic mix. The disastrous rollout of his health care law not only threatens the rest of his agenda but has also raised questions about his competence in the same way that the Bush administration's botched response to Hurricane Katrina undermined any semblance of Republican efficiency. This ENTIRE TOME could have been written without mentioning Bush at all. NYT is hopelessly f-ed.

Since he cannot blame the failure of the Affordable Care Act on President George W. Bush, President Obama has consistently pointed to Romneycare as an excuse. Most in the media have followed the White House talking points trying to compare Romneycare to Obamacare, I guess Shear did not get the memo. Romney's Fault???
Really????
I mean, REALLY??????

If true, probably only because he cant run for a third term. They havent abandoned other democrats that will take his place in the future even if they make the same promises obama did.

Wow I always find such enlighten news out of the NYT. I never realized that hurricane Katrina was a law that Bus pushed through in the middle of the night, signed then spent millions to advertize and was caught by the damage it caused. Was it called the ANA or Affordable New Orleans Act?
I must be a low informational voter who thought Katrina was a natural disaster made worse by state and local democratic officials incompetence and greed only to be saved by Bush.
