Why not? If volunteers on a low budget can make Star Trek fan films why can’t a movie like that be done on the cheap?

I've watched the Star Trek Continues episode. It is quite good. I think it works because Star Trek the original series was so formulaic, and this sticks to the formula.

But yeah, with today's technology, EFAD could absolutely be made as a fanfic film.

We just need Annabelle Hilal :-)
