Costco and Sam’s are two others. Canned food will last for a decade or more if stored properly. In general, I think the Mormons (and Andrew Tobias oddly enough) had the right idea in remaining prepared for rough times.
Might be able to figure it out if we knew exactly where all that stuff is shipped. All going to D.C.? Insurrection. Coastal cities? Weather crises, rising sea levels. Some foreign country? We're starting or anticipating a war.

I read Brazil crops failing right now because of unusual cold. Extreme snow fall in Antartica. The current Arctic summer was half as long as normal.....
Could be as simple as the end of fiscal year for a spend down.
US Upper Midwest saw planting delayed by two weeks, then flooded out with intense rains. Now, nights are too chilly for the plants to do anything more than survive and some maples are already yellowing, even though the sumac hasn’t changed color yet. Looks like an early frost up here. Anything that needs 72-76 days should be ok. Anything that needs longer could be iffy.
I’d have to go along with you. I suspect that it will be a combination of events either started with a “controlled” financial collapse or another catastrophic event along with the financial collapse. You can see the separation of classes more and more each day: elites, government bureaucrats and regulators, government controlled large corporations, and the peasants. It’s coming.

It’s probably just a coincidence but I read that reduced (or no) sunspot activity promotes more cloud cover, like we have had for most of this spring/summer in Atlanta. Some scientists are predicting no sunspots for decades and another Little Ice Age.
Question: How would they know it will only be for a few decades and not a big ice age?

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when a new ice age is preferable to a world police state.
I have noticed at my local Air Force Base Commissary, for a little over a month now, that they have ‘Meals Ready to Eat,” (MRE) on the shelf in large boxes, and for sale to Commissary patrons. Not sure of the price. Think it was around $80. Item is something I’ve never seen on Commissary shelves before.
