Following the disastrous 2012 elections, in which Republicans had their clocks cleaned, party leadership hunkered down in Washington to think things over. Out of earshot of our mothers, we might call it a Come to Jesus meeting. Publicly, it was called a rebranding effort, and the end result was a lengthy report dubbed the Growth & Opportunity Project, containing recommendations on everything from messaging to coalition building to campaign mechanics and the growing technology gap with Democrats.
...Tucked deep inside this document, however, on page 53, is perhaps the real answer to the Republican Partys woes. Filed by the RNC as almost an afterthought under the subsection 10. Promote Our Governors (within the chapter titled Introduction to Friends and Allies), is this sentence: The RNC is too heavily focused on Washington. The RNC needs to showcase Republican Governors along with the RGA.
Its entirely possible the RNC wants to use Republican governors to promote the GOP message. Thats the wrong way of looking at it. In reality, Republican governors should be the GOP message....

It depends. My GOP governor (Rick Snyder) makes Chris Christie look like Ronald Reagan but we have put a lot of conservatives in the legislature to keep pressure on him.
It also helps that we elected a conservative SOS and AG who are not afraid to come into conflict with the governor.
Pat McCrory, our new GOP governor, has only raised or introduced 18 taxes since taking office.
The count of his predecessor, the execrable Democrat Bev Purdue, was 62 at this time.
Is 18 better than 62? Only in degree. There’s no difference, otherwise.
Oh, and they’re about to hand driver’s licenses to illegals. Gotta keep that cheap labor in-state...
More of the same. If these jokers want to win then promote positive conservative candidates the base will support. Till then they will always be losers.
yeaaaahhhh well we know what that's all about now don't we?....

Obamas Big Data victory
I’m still pissed at Mitch Daniels for not running. He had a real good story to tell, but his wife apparently ruled out his running.
Our new GOP governor is pretty conservative. So far we are happy with him. He stumbled a little on SPLOST but I think he has the picture now.
