I'd love to see her give McShame (I know, she supported him...got it) a run for his senate seat.
That would be awesome!!
Palin v Kelly in 2016 for McLame’s seat?
What if she decides to quit?
She has to do something to remain relevant, or she will fade away.
Every Alaskan I have met says what they want is “more respect in Washington”.
Sarah will command TV cameras everywhere she goes. She can champion Energy and probably get a good committee assignment if she negotiates with McConnell.
Also, she really has to run to erase the “quitter” label. Alaskans know more about the false ethics charges against her than the entire USA combined. If she becomes Senator, she will put Alaska in the middle of every energy debate and that will be good for the state.
Of course, the DSCC will throw $$$ into the Begich campaign, however, the Democrat’s passion for Gun Control will make their words hollow and annoy the frontier spirit of the average Alaskan.
Run, Sarah, run!
He might be right. I do believe something major cased her to stop her bus tour of America so quickly after IOWA'S appearances. Sarah is not a quitter. It is intelligence that causes one to be retiring to fight another day.
We may never know the truth of it. All of us are responsible for the position in which we put our family. And “President” is a HUGE office with many people in government having power ... very involved. MOO
GOD KNOWS!
Might be a better shot than Alaska.
Sarah is bigger than them.
The Senate requires "compromising" I.E. Compromising your Beliefs.
Sitting in Committees' deal here, deal there, get pork for your state. Sarah isn't about that.
Simply Put, Sarah is a Leader, NOT a Follower.
Yep.
Palin v Kelly in 2016 for McLames seat?
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
She’d be great in the Senate. That’s an excellent platform for her. She needs to run in a state (not Alaska) where she’d have an easier win, though. AZ is where she lives. I’ll bet she chose to live there with this in mind. She could probably get McCain to campaign for her, too. Although it might look pretty weak if he didn’t. The media would be all over that. The real risk is that he would say to her face that he’d back her, then turn around and speak out against her. No telling what TPTB might do with McCain in that situation.
On balance, I think your suggestion is excellent.
You’re wasting your time, the old guard republicans want Treadwell. I’m thinking Joe Miller will run against Treadwell. We’ll see.
Yes, good idea—Rand Paul needs her—we need her in the US Senate. She needs a larger forum.
When I was approached I flatly stated, "on the condition that if I should win, I get to remain in Alaska and do all of my committee assignments by teleconference and my voting by phone or email". D.C. has about as much appeal to me as a bad case of gout.
As an Alaskan I would rather not have her in the Senate. I would rather see Joe Miller go after Begich’s seat and Sarah start planning for 2016.
From what I understand, her ‘tax’ was a ‘severance tax’ on the oil companies for taking what is an Alaskan natural resource, and not compensating the citizens of the state. I frankly don’t see anything wrong with that. I’m sure the oil companies didn’t like it, and neither did the legislators who received contributions from those companies. What did the citizens, who received a check every year, think about the reversal.
Obviously you know not what you talk about. ACES was a heavy graduated tax on production; and as result production since it’s enactment nose dived. Neo-Marxist Keynesian policies may be alright with you, but it’s not with me. I’ve been in Alaska a long time, and Palin was perhaps our most Liberal Governors even more Liberal than Tony Knowles; that is until she was selected by McCain and then poof overnight she became Ronald Reagan in drag. I remember being on flight from Anchorage to Juneau during her first year in office and she was on the plane with 2 of Alaska’s most Leftist Politicians (Les Gara, and Hollis French) just having a grand old time laughing and carrying on; it made my stomach turn. She had the State’s Democrats overwhelming support until she was chosen by McCain, because she enacted all of their policies. Face it she’s like every other Politician......a big phoney baloney opportunist. The one positive thing her policies did was re-awaken Alaskans to the failures of Neo-Marxists Tax and Spend policies. We have since elected more true Conservatives to Juneau in order to undo her crap. The problem is that she and her leftest buddies in the Legislature set back the State 4 years..
Alaska, from where Sarah Palin suffered ahnd escaped, is a terrible place of corruption and back-stabbing.
I would not draft her for there!
