People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is actively shopping for a drone that would "stalk hunters," the organization said Monday.
The group says it will "soon have some impressive new weapons at its disposal to combat those who gun down deer and doves" and that it is "shopping for one or more drone aircraft with which to monitor those who are out in the woods with death on their minds."
The group says it will not weaponize the drones, but will use them to film potentially illegal hunting activity and turn it over to law enforcement.
"The talk is usually about drones being used as killing machines, but PETA drones will be used to save lives," PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk said in a statement.
They are currently considering purchasing the CineStar Octocopter, which is capable of carrying a DSLR camera for up to 5 minutes. With smaller cameras, the drone can fly for about 20 minutes. The group says it also hopes to fly drones over factory farms, fishing spots and "other venues where animals routinely suffer and die."(continued)

2 bird shot, one buckshot.
That’s what I was wondering. They really don’t know who they’re messing with.
Depleted uranium buckshot rounds?
They’ll scare the game when they crash.
“2 bird shot, one buckshot.”
Indeed, ‘tis a fine time for practicing skee...er...drone shooting.
And believe me, I’d consider it a wonderful bit O’fun to take one out.
Of course, being a good geek, I could also schlep the appropriate equipment to jam it, but blasting it out of the sky would be much more entertaining.
The one could wait for the perps to try to retrieve it.
PETA are murdering thugs..they lost what little credibility they had when we found out that they slaughtered dogs
So you’re in your tree stand, decked in camo, holding your rifle when you spot a drone flying in your direction.
You ask yourself “Is it a government drone or a PETA drone? Does it matter?”
“BLAM!”
:-) The stupidity of Liberals is endless. "Lets see, I'm going to put a bird-sized drone in the sky, to (illegally?) track people armed with weapons specifically designed to remove bird-sized targets from the sky. What could go wrong?"
They may be able to afford a camera that puts it far enough away to be outside of range. I’m not sure what the altitude restriction is on drones.
” I SEE DEAD PRIUS’S”
“PULL!!”
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." 1 Tim 4:1-3.
Coming attractions: banning regular heterosexual marriage. (I think this is will likely come from the "gay agenda" eventually, among other sources.)
I can see it now..... My attack drone is an “Ace” and has 5 Pita Drone kills.....
Anyone who who would regard an animal on par with, or superior to a human is crazy as far as I’m concerned.
Dunno. Depends on the altitude. And I wouldn’t want to shoot at anything into the air without some idea where the shot is going to land...
I’m betting that there’s more than a little overlap between PETA and the Lavender Mafia, don’t you?
