God these people are terrifying in both their stupidity and their willingness to destroy the Constitution.

These people are not just ignorant, they are *proud* of their ignorance.
They look down on people who actually know something about firearms or the Constitution.
After all, only certified government employees are supposed to know anything about those things.

The Congresswoman has been working on a high-capacity assault magazine ban for years, and has been deeply involved in the issue; she simply misspoke in referring to magazines when she should have referred to clips, which cannot be reused because they dont have a feeding mechanism, [Spokeswoman] Johnson said. Maybe someone can help me here: has there ever been a "clip" with more than 10 rounds? The one for the M-1 Garand has 8 rounds.

Perhaps her comment referring to bullets “There won’t be any more available” refers to the government stockpile of bullets and is a Freudian slip?
Just a thought, but her wording struck me as odd.

Whats the efficacy of banning these magazine clips? I will tell you, these are ammunition, theyre bullets, so the people who have those now, theyre going to shoot them
the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will be shot and there wont be any more available. Let's face it. She meant the bullets themselves.
That said, there are two things at play here. 1) she may be referring to the bogus excuse from Janet Incompetano regarding buying up all the bullets to keep them from the public, and B) Democrats are trying to separate "ammo" from "arms" as regards the 2nd amendment.
In truth, ammunition is a part of the definition of arms. It is just as unconstitutional to infringe on the right to by ammunition as it is to buy the discharge device that goes with it.

I hate to say it, but it is dangerous to educate these people too much. Bill Ruger educated them about “high capacity” magazines, which is where we got the push to ban them.
If they really knew what they were doing, we would be in far more trouble.
I do *not* want to go into specifics.
