Blacks officials in the rapidly deteriorating city of Atlanta decided to sue rather than allow successful White “evacuees” to incorporate prosperous new cities in the Northern suburbs of Dekalb and Fulton counties.
For years government scandals, rackets, political corruption and charges of bribery have plagued a city which is becoming known as “The Detroit of the South,” all culminating in the threatened 2013 loss of accreditation for the Dekalb County School System. During that time, communities in the North Atlanta suburbs “…began the process of incorporating into cities,” with 6 having been carved out of the Atlanta hinterland by 2011 as hundreds of thousands of taxpayers were lost from the city's tax base. I don’t see a problem with this. If you want to call whites racist, then so be it. They are taking the initiative to save their communities from the blight of political corruption. If it just so happens that a majority of that corruption comes from politicians and areas that are a majority black, then call it racism if you want. It’s good sense to me.
At some point someone just needs to say that blacks are part of the problem in these cities and let the cards fall where they may. If successful, personally responsible black families want to get away from the corruption, there are no laws preventing them doing so. THAT would be racist. This move is not exclusionary, it is self-sustaining.

I was down there some years ago in winter. They had what I would call a minor snow storm. The State patrol closed the Interstate to local drivers, If you had Michigan, Wisconsin, or Minnesota plates on your vehicle they waved you through.

It’s a class thing, not a race thing. Any black with the means to do so would do the exact same thing as the whites.

Many do. A good black neighbor friend of a friend of mine was leaving SE Dallas for greener pastures for just this reason. She considered the town of Lancaster (South of Dallas) but reconsidered because "too many blacks live there."

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton did the very same thing, for the very same reason, but they’ll never admit it publicly.
Went there on our honeymoon years ago. Visited with the kids and noticed how run down it has gotten. Atlanta Undergound has gone to seed. Used to be thriving and bustling with people. Now it has street vendors (with bad attitudes) who sell fake designer handbags and crap.
Atlanta is just the most recent city doing this. It happened in Little Rock not too long ago, with the same results. It’s also starting in Charlotte and Birmingham.
It is not racism, it is Marxism that rots out the heart of a community, a state, and eventually a country.
We need a separation of charity and state. Leave charity to the churches and service organizations. Government's blunt force power has ruined an admirable quality of charity to the needy.
The problem is the liberals hate people leaving the cities and are making war on the suburban middle class.
They will use all the tools of authoritarian socialist government to come down like a ton of bricks on the suburban and rural areas.

This is an Agenda 21 thing too. They want to corral us all into small villages in the name of “biodiversity.”
A completely disingenuous argument. They still possess the same voting power and access, as well as the same influence - in their own neighborhoods. The problem is, they no longer have access to other people's money; money they took from wealthier suburbs without providing services to said suburbs.
The Black Caucus reminds me of a wealthy friend's ex-wife. She cheated on her husband and when he divorced her, she wanted everything they had *and* his money. She thought it reasonable that life for her should go on exactly as before except without him in it. Actions have consequences and you can only screw someone over for so long until they've had enough.
