Why worry about telling the truth now, when you already lied on Sep 14th when you told congress it was the video? Where was his honor then? What can we believe from him now? _________________________________________________
Very valid points, but I can not help but believe that Petraeus is the one witness who would come clean after pondering all the carnage left behind at Benghazi and the battlefield principle that was destroyed in the process. I believe he is the only one with a conscience in the administration, so they had to destroy him. Yes, he knew better when he lied about the video, but the gravity of this situation may not have sunk in yet. No excuse for lying but he can still redeem himself if he admits he lied and then proceeds to crack this treasonous conspiracy open.

He was probably being blackmailed.
The worst thing they had against him was this.

He threw it out there, and now they have nothing.
Now if they want to shut him up, they have to arrange his suicide... which I would not put past them.

He can now sing with impunity. What are they going to do now, tell the world he had an affair?
He pre-empted them.

Please refer to the Kenyan-in-cheat as

Obama ben-Ghazzi

until this matter is brought to light and the deaths of Ty and Glen have been vindicated.

Thank you.

The problem is, Obama will never resign over ‘bumps in the road’, and the Senate will never impeach him.

“There is not a hope in hell that the Senate would produce even a majority for conviction, much less 2/3.”

I would offer that if any testimony from Petraeus is just so damning that it leaves no shadow of doubt that oblunder lied, covered up, watched Americans die with help available that was stood down and showed complete ineptitude, then it’s likely that there’s some senators especially the 20 up for re-election in 2014 would vote to convict. They won’t want to be tied to this in any way. They’d have the concession that they’d still have Biden (d) as president.

Sorry fella's but I believe there was a typo.

"... justice will eventually catch up with this moral black hole."

Should have read:

"... justice will eventually catch up with this (a)moral black (ass)hole."

There, fixed.

The bottom line is that Benghazi is small potatoes and just a distraction.

Elsewhere the consensus was reached that Patraeus resigned because Obama ordered him either to not give intelligence information to Israel for their attack against Iran; or to tell Israel that the US will give intelligence information to Iran to prevent the Israeli attack.

And Patraeus refused.

Petraeus is an Obama supporter. His wife worked for and supported Liz Warren, Obama’s puppet. Petraeus didn’t resign before the election to avoid harming Obama’s re-election chances.

Now that the election is over and his guy has won, he quickly resigned because the affair that many people were aware of was about to become common knowledge. His abrupt resignation was a “surgical strike” to attempt to minimize the damage to his own reputation, and immunize the administration as much as possible in regard to his Benghazi testimony.

He will be debriefed upon leaving the CIA...it is not an easy matter to discuss, even under House inquiry, classified information. He is essentially held mute. It wouldn’t surprise me that his clearance will be suspended also.

The only way I see around it is that he receives approval from the Executive Branch to discuss anything classified.

We all know the chances of that happening.

Huh?

Where do you come up with this crappola?

Of course his Security Clearance will be revoked, if it has not already. So what?

EVERYONE who leaves Gov't Service including all Military Personnel automatically have their Security Clearances revoked because why would they need them, as they would no longer have access to classified info.

As a covert Intel Agent while serving in Vietnam, I still will not divulge to anyone some of the secrets I learned and knew then (some 46 years ago) NOT because there is anything preventing me from doing so (legally) simply because I choose not too just in case what I said might somehow impact those who continue to serve in that Organization.

There is NO WAY, Dear Leader (or anyone) can keep P from being subpoenaed or from testifying--not that I don't expect this corrupt Regime to try, maybe by invoking "Executive Privilege", which just won't fly--especially if it is done in Secret Sessions.....and you can take that to the bank.

Petraeus downfall , classic O take out anyone who can hurt you by maximizing focus on personal issues.

This stuff doesn’t affect what he knew and when, and also O and Hillary
Being end point decision makers on cross border authorization ( thank you Travis McGee) , and phony video distractions.

You do not automatically get your clearance revoked, you get your “access” revoked. Clearances have a lifespan depending on the type. A secret last 10 years. Access is another matter entirely, that is revoked ASAP and has to be reinstated. You can in some circumstances have a clearance revoked, adultery has never been one reason I know of, unless it was part of some other conviction by a court.

“wife worked for and supported Liz Warren”

Now I have less sympathy for the wife and the General. This is a libtard family and they got the progressive secular &itch slap they deserved. Great war time leader, but some great military minds were social disasters off the battlefield.

Any chance P being the left’s Ollie North...?

I can see the GOP being stupid enough to fall into that trap...

With the election behind us, there's still a scandal brewing that rivals Watergate: recall that Nixon also won re-election in '72, only to be brought down by his own tangled web of lies soon afterwards.

The difference then was the MSM always wanted to destroy Nixon for being an anticommunist. With Obama, being a communist/marxist, the press will do everything to diffuse this scandal.

“Jarrett naturally resorted to blackmailing Petraeus into lying.”

This the weak point in your argument. Why worry about telling the truth now, when you already lied on Sep 14th when you told congress it was the video?

Where was his honor then? What can we believe from him now?
I hope you are right, but I have my doubts.

He was being blackmailed to play along that it was the video. When blame was coming from the White House that the intelligence community told the men on site to stand down then he stood up and made his carefully worded statement and then leaked the CIA’s timeline of events.

By not falling on the sword for Obama, Petraeus made his own decision to publicly resign.

Benghazigate is going to explode big time...
