Skip to comments.Obama: Romney Not Very "Qualified To Think About The Economy As A Whole"

"When some people question why I would challenge his Bain record, the point I've made there in the past is, if you're a head of a large private equity firm or hedge fund, your job is to make money. It's not to create jobs. It's not even to create a successful business - it's to make sure that you're maximizing returns for your investor. Now that's appropriate. That's part of the American way. That's part of the system. But that doesn't necessarily make you qualified to think about the economy as a whole, because as president, my job is to think about the workers. My job is to think about communities, where jobs have been outsourced," President Obama said in an interview with Charlie Rose that aired on CBS' morning program "This Morning." More will air on CBS' "Sunday Morning."

This is the same interview with Charlie Rose when he said he needs to tell better stories to Americans.
Yeah, we’re much better off with a guy that doesn’t understand any piece of the economy, including blowing gazillions of dollars on government spending.
Charlie Rose is utterly without intelligence or wisdom. This would be why Obama said this utterly stupid, completely obtuse, vividly misrepresentative and vapidly childish comment. Any adult would have swatted it like the fly it is.
Charlie Rose, however, is not an adult, just a very old teenager.
More proof that our dear leader is a moron. Tell us, Obama, about your business experience - either creating private-sector jobs or creating profit.
The leftwing “community organizer” lecturing a successful millionare businessman on economic policy - friggen hilarious.
Obama is a whole.... A whole lot as ass.
Some Dems would be doing double facepalm, as more of the interview is being leaked trickle by trickle.
Obama is an excellent example of stupid people who have no clue how stupid they are because they don’t know what a smart person knows.
Ignorance - and a big mouth - are bliss.
Look at his investments with OUR money.
Bankrupt companies do not employees
Hey Obumma, making money is ALL about creating jobs! Mitt has forgotten more than you will ever know about the economy.
When you talk about the economy as a whole it should be spelled “hole” the way your lame schemes work.
Coming from Obama who doesn’t know the difference between gross and net?
And just HOW is Obama qualified? He’s never run even a lemonade stand.
The community organizer usurper thinks HE is qualified???? Romney hand has successful led companies and rescued the Salt Lake Olympics. On the other hand, Hussein, the socialist bastard, hasn't done anything but run up the debt at a blinding rate and put more people out of work than any one else ever has!
I think everyone is missing a salient point in this discussion; one that has done untold damage to America over the last 3.5 -5 years, and holds dire consequense for its future.
The point is that in the liberal world, obama is 100% right. Romney looks as the economy from a capitalist standpoint, for the most part, and especially relative to the liberal POV. It is basically an apolitical approach; get the government out of the way of small business and investment.
In obama’s world that is exactly 180 degrees out of phase. Liberals see the economy as something that will give them more and more political control. Whether it’s punitive taxation, enslavement to the state through welfare programs, destroying unsanctioned industry through regulation, etc; it is ALL part of the economic plan of control Thus Romney is NOT suited to look at the economy as a whole, becasue he is not a liberal.
Just my 2 cents.
Didn’t Zero take a stab at the Olympics? I don’t recall Chicago getting them..
Wow, Obama really is a complete idiot.
So both sides think of themselves as the saner half. Until reality catches up with them, and smack them right in the chop.
No matter what they (or we) think, reality is a b!tch.
:: as president, my job is to think about the workers ::
That says it all.
“It’s not even to create a successful business - it’s to make sure that you’re maximizing returns for your investor”
This explains Obama’s ignorance rather succinctly.
