Congratulations to Sheriff Joe Arpaio for being named the "worst" state or local politician in America, by a left-wing open-borders political action committee (PAC) - one of many spending a fortune this year to try and defeat America's Toughest Sheriff.
Immigrants' List unveiled the inductees into its second annual Local Hall of Shame. According to this far-left PAC, the "winners" share the following characteristics:
These are politicians who have benefited politically from spreading fear and misinformation about immigration, and have enacted harmful policies that are hurting local economies and hurting families.Huh? Yes, we admit, the propaganda is a bit confusing, since illegal invaders are not "immigrants" or lawfully-residing "families"; the "harmful policies" are merely existing Federal immigration laws, and enforcement of such laws against illegal aliens have helped, not hurt local economies.
Allow us to translate: politicians on their "worst" list are those who have most effectively enforced Federal immigration laws on the books, including the Secure Communities program, and 287(g) Federal-Local partnership - all passed by bi-partisan majorities of Congress and signed by either Bill Clinton or George W. Bush.
That's right, bi-partisan, broadly-supported laws and polices. But don't expect to hear that from Immigrants' List, National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the ACLU, MoveOn.org or MALDEF, or the host of other, massively-funded groups determined to undermine those laws in order to enable illegal alien voting, serve the interests of foreign governments, or promote mass amnesty for illegals.
And Sheriff Joe Arpaio is target #1 on their list...
The rest of the list is as follows (and we are pleased to see Arizona well-represented) : 2. Gov. Robert Bentley (R-AL), 3. Gov. Jan Brewer (R-AZ), 4. State Rep. Judy Burgess (R-AZ), 5. State Rep. Becky Currie (R-MS), 6. Sheriff Daron Hall (TN), 7. Kansas Sec. of State Kris Kobach, 8. State Rep. Matt Ramsey (R-GA), 9. State Rep. Larry Rappaport (R-NH), 10. MD County Commissioner Blaine Young (R).
It comes as no surprise that Sheriff Joe is at the top of their "enemies list". Because well-funded left-wing PACs and non-profits have already announced that defeating Sheriff Joe is one of their highest priorities in 2012 .
And of course, as we have noted, left-wing billionaire George Soros himself has pledged to spend up to $10 million to defeat Sheriff Joe this year.
They are after Joe. But they will fail, because the American people and people of Maricopa County stand with him. And here at SWA, we think that Joe should wear this "#1 worst" as a badge of honor. Joe is enforcing the laws on the books better than anyone else in America - a single sheriff's department that captures a staggering 25% of all illegal aliens apprehended in the U.S. every year - protecting not only Arizonans from dangerous criminals, but all Americans as well.
THAT is why they are trying to stop Joe, and why we must defend him...We stand with Joe!

Some conservative organization needs to contact him and secure movie rights. If not, when the left makes THEIR version of his story, it will not be recognizable from reality.

That was my first thought as well.
He's the top cop in Maricopa County, and no one has more power there than he does, even the feds.
Thank God he knows it.
If the rest of the sheriffs in our country stood up to the putrid corruption that is destroying us, they could put a huge dent in the left's plans.
