BOTH OBAMAS SURRENDERED law licenses in '93 & '08

This can be easily veriified at https://www.iardc.org Stands for Illinois Attorney Registration And Disciplinary Committee. It's the official arm of lawyer discipline in Illinois; and they are very strict and mean as hell.

1. President Barack Obama, former editor of the Harvard Law Review, is no longer a "lawyer". He surrendered his license back in 2008 in order to escape charges he lied on his bar application.

A "Voluntary Surrender" is not something where you decide "Gee, a license is not really something I need anymore, is it?" and forget to renew your license. No, a "Voluntary Surrender" is something you do when you've been accused of something, and you 'voluntarily surrender" your license five seconds before the state suspends you.

2 Michelle Obama "voluntarily surrendered" her law license in 1993. after a Federal Judge gave her the choice between surrendering her license or STAND TRIAL FOR insurance FRAUD.

She probably spent 93 being investigated & firewalled. I would guess she “practiced” for a grand total of 3 years.

Could you imagine if Sarah Palin's husband had a similar situation?

Holy crap the MSM would devote dozens of investigators to get the details.

I cannot give you chapter an verse on this, but I believe that it is common for lawyers going into public office to put their law licenses on dormant or inactive status.

1. President Obama’s serving as an editor of the Harvard Law Review is amply documented in publications — including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe — from the early 1990s, including when Obama was still a student. Nor would it have been an easy hoax to pull off then, since the board contained many dozens of people, including many conservatives, all of whom could have blown the whistle had the allegation been false.

If the allegation had been false? Really?...why doesn't the author of this article site the Obama publications...

If she was court ordered, wouldn’t there be a court record some where that states the reason for such order?

The article on WND explains rule 770 and when and why it was changed, that ARDC web site decided to change to the new standard template is not the stuff of conspiracy more of just standardization

http://web.archive.org/web/20080102005754/http://www.iardc.org/rule770inactivestatus.html

to see the wayback machines image of the change rule.

Rule 759 Restoration to active status. explains this.

Aditionaly no one voted for M.Obama her status as a lawyer is of little import.

That B.Obama makes “puffed” up claims as to his “professorship” is a moral turpitude issue and a matter often of semantics. That he is a poor president and one that has little use for the Constitution as written is of course a matter for the voters hopefully they will decide that being a good reader and stentorian speaker is not all that is needed.

FTA:

2 Michelle Obama "voluntarily surrendered" her law license in 1993. after a Federal Judge gave her the choice between surrendering her license or STAND TRIAL FOR insurance FRAUD.

I followed he links in there article and none of them provides any documentation for this charge. This is something I've been looking for documentation on for a long time, indeed, ever since I read about it here on FR. It definitely looks possible because the quotes from the Illinois Attorney Registration and Discipline Commission website make it look like she was forced out of the bar on a "resign or be fired" basis. Does anybody have any real documentation for this charge?? If so, please post it. Thanks.

Anyone know what the lie on his bar application was???Could it involve his citizenship status?

Many aliases. Possibly got caught with falsified SSN, citizenship(s), and who knows what else.

This is very strange. He said he just paid off his student load, then he surrenders his law license shortly thereafter, why?

Well here is what NYT wrote

First Black Elected to Head Harvard’s Law Review

The Harvard Law Review, generally considered the most prestigious in the country, elected the first black president in its 104-year history today. The job is considered the highest student position at Harvard Law School.

* Note it does not claim he was an editor or the editor just that he was elected to be president of the law review.

That the article claims NYT printed he was editor is true that NYT ever did of course r would need to be proved.

Facts matter
