Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Monday said Rush Limbaugh’s recent use of the word “slut” on his conservative radio show to describe a woman’s policy position “should be condemned by everyone.”

“He’s an entertainer,” McCain said on CNN, acknowledging a defense used by some conservative bloggers. “But his remarks are totally unacceptable, totally and completely unacceptable. And there’s no place for it.”
