President Obamas recent decision to drastically cut future military spending puts the United States in a weakened position vis-a-vis despot regimes and terrorist organizations who are always looking for gratuitous opportunities to attack U.S. interests, according to Congressman Allen West. West says that there is a sense of weakness that we are conveying, and there is a window of opportunity that people like Iran are seeing.
According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, Obamas proposed cuts to the military budget could shrink by over 30% in the next decade-
The Administration projects outlays at 2.7% of GDP in 2021, down from 4.5% last year (which included the cost of Iraq and Afghanistan). That would put U.S. outlays at 1940 levelsa bad year. As recently as 1986, a better year, the U.S. spent 6.2% of GDP on defense with no detrimental economic impact.

I feel so much safer now. Our president is such a genius, and so are the people who voted him into office.

Colonel West speaks the truth.
Unfortunately I think it would take enemy missiles landing on a liberal icon before this government would take these threats seriously.
