Ron Paul Takes Swipes at GOP Rivals, Says Michele Bachmann ‘Hates Muslims’
ABC ^ | December 17, 2011 | Jason M. Volack

Ron Paul has gone Hollywood.

Appearing on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Friday, the presidential hopeful took a swipe at his GOP rivals telling the crowd that Michele Bachmann “hates Muslims.”

When asked by host Jay Leno what he thought of his rivals, Paul shook his head, slowed his voice and said, “she doesn’t like Muslims, she hates them, she wants to go get ‘em” — in reference to the comments Bachmann has made on the campaign trail over her willingness to attack Iran over its suspected nuclear program.

Bachmann, who is campaigning today in Iowa, rejected Paul’s comments.

“Of course I don’t hate Muslims,” Bachmann told ABC News adding “that’s an absolutely outrageous statement.”

...“With all due respect to my colleague, I think Ron Paul would make a very dangerous president because he doesn’t understand this threat,” Bachmann added.

The comment was especially surprising for Paul, who up until now has shied away from personal attacks.

The comment even left the audience and host Jay Leno momentarily stunned.

In reference to Rick Santorum, Paul said he can’t stop talking about “gay people and Muslims.”

.....Paul used the rare late night appearance to elaborate on some of his libertarian leaning positions such as getting rid of federal drug laws in favor of state regulations.

...Paul walked out to a standing ovation by the mainly youthful audience. The fact wasn’t lost on Leno who noted that he drew lots of support from young people.

“Young people are principled,” said Paul adding that “after a while you get mixed up.”

Paul added that the federal government should “protect the right to do with our own body what we want.”

....The Congressman again said he has “no intention” of running on a third party ticket but added he hasn’t ruled it out.

I think a lot of Ron Paul’s support is cynical (follow the money). Young people "looking forward" to no jobs in the Obama depression, or working on degrees in areas where government money could fund a study, a program (their professors have sucked on this tit for decades) -- instead of being “wasted” to support the "evil" military and “misguided” war on drugs -- which also ties into what they've been taught in many institutions of higher education -- all those misguided, useless degrees and “green” thinkers think Ron Paul is the Rx for what ails the country. So they're leaving support for Barack “hope and change” Obama at the school house/no job market door and flocking to Ron Paul which has the sweetener of hurting those evil “rich” conservatives who are destroying the planet and are ready to “bomb” the world.

The problem for them is -- they never will get the money; it always finds another home. With the debt and deficit ballooned out of sight, that money isn't heading in their direction. The naturally productive ones will eventually “grow up” and realize the truth about living in a safe, free market society but many will hang fast to the hope (libertarians for sure) that once the "war on drugs" and the "evil military complex” have their wings clipped, some of those trillions of “wasted” dollars will certainly flow to them. It won't and their lot will be worse. We have for too long been building “me-me-it is” generations, whose values and goals are nurtured and fanned by teachings of socialist professors spawned in the Sixties who have multiplied themselves with our youth.

So Ron Paul is their cup of tea. They’re only one step away from OWS (most likely have a foot in both camps already). If Ron Paul definitively said, "I will not run third Party," much of his support would evaporate today. Which is precisely why he has not ruled it out.

Bachmann hates Muslims? Well, at least she’s got that going for her.

Paul’s ignorance concerning the Muslim “faith” is stunning. They ARE all bad. The basic tenet of the faith is to kill anyone who won’t convert. If a Muslim became good, he wouldn’t be a Muslim any longer.

You're absolutely right, having succinctly and accurately described what the evil death cult of Islam is all about.

Geeeez. I was hoping I could vote for Paul, should the NDAA indefinite detention provisions be signed into law, but after that performance, I guess not.

Paul added that the federal government should “protect the right to do with our own body what we want.”

So, if we kill other people with our bare hands, this should be allowed, since we are doing with our own bodies what we want?

Gutsfeld (sp?) on ‘The Five’ on Fox made a priceless comment about Paul after the debate.
‘Then there’s Ron Paul being his usual self; he says something that makes sense and follows it up with something really goofy. It’s like ordering a steak with a topper of necco wafers.’ LOL

Paul added that the federal government should “protect the right to do with our own body what we want.”

I'd go along with this if the pro pot crowd would go along with paying for their own medical attention and joblessness that results from doing with their own bodies what they want.

Did Paul remind them that that's part and parcel of his "do what thou wilt" beliefs. Did they give him a standing ovation for that stance? Of course not.

They just want to get stoned and then have everyone else pay their way through life.

Bunch of freeloaders.

TIR: “Greetings and welcome to Kevin’s Korner. A good writer possesses not only his own spirit but also the spirit of his friends … Maybe I need some friends.

Ron Paul is going to win the Iowa Caucus. As of Thursday afternoon, that was the entire basis of my opening paragraph for this column. Then Paul pulled a Hari-Kari on his own campaign, showing his utter ignorance about the threat of radical Islam. I don’t see how any sane person could want this man to be Commander-in-Chief … He still might win Iowa. But he’ll never win the GOP nomination.

What would happen if Ron Paul won the Iowa Caucus? The results would become totally insignificant, we would lose our first in the nation status and Mitt Romney would waltz to the GOP nomination.

Dr. Paul’s response to the whuppin’ he received Thursday night? Straight out of the Democrat playbook, of course. After all he admits he’s further to the left than Obama … Paul said Michele Bachmann “hates Muslims” and Rick Santorum hates “gay people and Muslims”… If they gave him a little more time, Paul was also going to accuse them of mugging old ladies, eating kittens and renaming Vets Auditorium … On the bright side, at least they don’t use caterpillars for eyebrows.

......The Gingrich campaign should make a campaign ad with this, pronto. Although she’s relentlessly bashing him now, Michele Bachmann heaped enormous praise on Newt Gingrich three years ago … Caucus goers might want to keep these statements in mind when you hear her criticize him today. “Beloved friend… made an indelible mark…changed the course of the United States…leading conservative … architect of the revolution… … What a treat, Speaker. This is real. This is from the heart. We love you here. We love you.”

http://www.mediaite.com/online/rush-limbaugh-blasts-ron-paul-for-running-to-the-left-of-president-obama-on-iran/ At this point, Rush Limbaugh‘s offensive against Rep. Ron Paul has become something of a regular feature on his program. So it’s not entirely surprising that Limbaugh’s anti-Paulism has seeped into his commercials, too– or at least in parody. This week, Limbaugh debuted a “pro” Rep. Paul ad that featured the “candidate” arguing “the greatest danger is not from Iran, it’s from us overreacting.” Surely this will go over well with Paul fans.
