Newt’s performance in a debate doesn’t mean didley to Obama’s base. That’s why Obama will beat Newt. The folks out there that won’t budge from their worship at the throne of Obama are locked in. The truly conservative vote which I believe is represented by the Tea Party and most conservatives that don’t actively get involved in politics is against mittens and any establishment politician. That includes Newt.

As I’ve said before, I rather see Obama get another term and be neutered by a Republican House. Four more years of Obama is going to move more moderates to the right. I can wait for 2016 rather than vote for anyone who remotely thinks AGW is real. Eff Gingrich. I don’t care about his morals or any of the money he’s picked up as a consultant.

Cap and trade will cripple our economy. If Newt isn’t smart enough to figure that out, he’s an effing idiot.

I like what you posted, but it’s hard to tell if you are pro-newt. I’m for Herman Cain, but he has stood up and said we need to end abortion and that he will set the EPA straight, that they work for the people, not against them.

Oh please! Give me Romney or Gingrich and I’ll take Gingrich anytime! Not a great choice, but you have to do with what you have...

For you Romney bots - really, do you want another wish-washy liberal fellow in the White House? At least Gingrich can be forced into the Conservative position (he’s been there), Romney - no way!

provides lots of ammo to reply to the falsehoods about Newt currently making the rounds everywhere.

Is this a "falsehood"......?

On Sep 27, 1979 The U.S. House voted 215-201 to establish the Department of Education as a cabinet-level department. Only 29 RINOs voted "Aye". Had just 8 of those Republicans voted it down, it would have failed.

Rep. Newton Gingrich (R-GA-6) was one of those 29 RINOs - voting AYE to rubber stamp Jimmy Carter's Department of Education.

Newt Gingrich was a big government RINO then. He is a one-world government RINO now. He is a liar and a fraud. But he sure is one smooth talker. Didn't America just elect one of those in 2008?

Some information regarding 1 of 7,000 votes Newt cast during his career. The one you speak of occurred 32 years ago.

As President, Newt will dramatically shrink the Department of Education to a research and reporting overview agency, and restore decision-making powers to states and communities.

When Newt voted for the creation of the Department of Education, the institution was only structured to provide research and collect data. Unfortunately, the bureaucracy ballooned, so while Speaker, Newt aggressively campaigned to pare down the Department back to its appropriate role and return power to the states.

As President, Newt will dramatically shrink the Department of Education to a research and reporting overview agency, and restore decision-making powers to states and communities. Most responsibilities and positions will be eliminated, and its new role will be to help find new and innovative approaches to then be adopted voluntarily at the local level.

Newt will steadfastly oppose any national curriculum standards, and will reverse Barack Obama’s nationalization of the student loan industry.

As the campaign heats up and the primaries get closer, there will be lots of attacks leveled against Newt - most of them baseless and false. And they've already started...

Here is a new link from the campaign, which provides the official responses to many of the current attacks being made against Newt. Readers are invited to submit queries about other attacks they would like the campaign to address.

It is a great addition to Newt's campaign resources, and provides lots of ammo to reply to the falsehoods about Newt currently making the rounds everywhere. Please use these responses whenever you encounter attacks or lies about Newt.

Get the word out there!

What are you, some teenager working in a Newt 2012 office? Stop spamming your donations links after every post. And how do we know what Gingrich would do with the Education Department that only the most liberal 10% of Republicans - including Newt - voted for? The Republicans - and many Democrats - who voted against it KNEW it would become a FAR-LEFT behemoth, coming to swallow up billions in tax dollars and dominate education policy. WHY DIDN'T NEWT SEE THIS COMING? Perhaos he isn't such a "visionary" after all.

Interesting. Do you have a link to back up what you state as fact: that the Republicans knew it would become a behemoth... If they were concerned, I am sure they went on the record somewhere about it... you seem to know what Republicans knew 32 years ago - and I don't - I'd appreciate being able to read about that. Thanks. Hope you have a Great Thanksgiving!

I like Newt as an ‘ideas’ guy, but not as a leader. Wish he’d just stay out of the spotlight and let someone with a cleaner past and less abrasive personality play the leader. But it doesn’t look like his ego allows for that.

Thank you and a fair question. I am a pragmatist and for The Buckley Rule.

Romney excluded, I will happily vote for Cain, Gingrich or Perry. You won't find me bashing any of them, although I also feel Perry has a self-inflicted wound which is fatal. Unfortunately, we do need a 'Communicator' (even if not 'Great') in this shallow digital media age.

The need to oust 0bama is so great and we don't have a perfect candidate. The 2010 lesson learned with O'Donnell, Angle, Hoffman, Miller, McMahon, etc. is that there is an undefined bridge too far for candidate electability in this ill-informed, media-influenced American electorate.
