"Why are we even having any primaries?"

Seriously, why bother having any election at all. Hussein or mittens? Not a lick of difference between them except in the 'looks' department, and most Americans will vote for the best smile. (hint* it wont be the old robotic white guy)

Is Carlson suggesting we need an uber-intellectual lifelong politician to win? That’s funny, because that exact type of garbage who got America into the problems it faces today.

I guarantee all these pig RINOs will endorse Obama in the coming election!

The may support the R (may?)...

What should be obvious to all us public-school dolts is one thing Tucker is trying to point out: REPUBLICAN BIG-GOVERNMENT IS REALLY IN LINE WITH CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES AND CONSTITUTIONAL PRINCIPLES. IT'S ONLY THE DEMOCRATIC BIG-GOVERNMENT THAT'S BAD.

Don't we get it ? Come on ! JUST CLICK THE VOTE BUTTON and go home and get on with your life.

See, it's BIG business that's really what the armies raised by the founding fathers fought and died for. Small business is small pa-taters. It ain't business, kid. Ya'll are just lost, ya don't know how business works. Ya gotta have them big business taters go down ta Washington and set up them big government fellers ta make things work, ta grease the skids.

The intellectuals know all the answers. And we can TRUST them - because they are conservatives...

Tucker, if ma daddy sent me ta' the same college you went to aah'd unnerstan' this. D@mm, son, y'all are smaaart ! whoooeee ! Thanks fer helpin' us out Tuck. You da man.

“Is Carlson suggesting we need an uber-intellectual lifelong politician to win?”

No, but we’ve never had a president who hasn’t held elective office of some kind, or at least military command experience. I don’t think it’s too much to ask

“That’s funny, because that exact type of garbage who got America into the problems it faces today.”

Yeah, and I want to say this time is different, the paradigm has exploded, yadda, yadda, yadda. But I still want Tea Party candidates who know what they’re doing. That is, have SOME experience in government.

Same way I wouldn’t want a guy who went from law school to community organizing to the state senate to take over Godfather’s Pizza. They wouldn’t know what they’re doing. You can’t just waltz in and overturn everything. The State bites back.

Look what it did to Reagan, who had been chief executive of a large state government and knew what he was doing, more or less. They talk about the Reagan Era like he was FDR, leaving his personal influence not just on government but on everything from ‘80 to ‘92, including Rambo, the Lakers-Celtics rivalry, hip-hop, glam metal, the crash of ‘87, crack, the homeless “epidemic,” Jersey mall hair, hostile corporate takeovers, pop rocks, and so on.

But looking back, what of him can we say truly lasts (leaving out foreign policy, for convenience’s sake)? Periodic marginal cuts in the tax code. That’s about it. Can you say you have any more faith in Cain’s potential, given that he faces a much bigger problem with much less experience? I can’t.

I hate to say this about Tucker Carlson but he’s not qualified to be a MAN and we’re all pretending that he is. I saw him throw his hissy fit yesterday and was disgusted by this Romney supporting castrato.

Hypocrites always mention Mitt’s - Olympic Games success (was he a marathoner?) his Governor of Mass. (RomneyCare) Bain investments (family money) Born with a silver spoon.

Never mention the vast range of Herman’s accomplishments. Only CEO of Godfather’s Pizza - the subliminal “mafia” nomenclature.

We are not stupid - but they think we are.

He is not qualified to be president, and we are all pretending he is. He’s a nice guy. I know him, I like him. I think he’s a great guy. He would be a better president than the current president, but he can’t explain his own economic plan.”

Tucker...can you EXPLAIN the ECONOMIC PLAN that we have now??

My economic plan is simple: 10% income tax on everybody. 10% on American made income (things produced in USA or Canada), 15% on Mexican made income (also Western Europe), 30% on Chinese Made profits.

People like Carlson who so rabidly oppose Cain on grounds that he is not up to their personal and obviously very subjective standards of ‘qualification’ for the Presidency ought to remember the kind of equally biased and unwarranted criticism that Harry Truman took from HIS opponents, both during his vice-Presidency and at the outset of his Presidency. All sorts of attacks were made on him personally on his experience and on his fitness to lead.

In the end... Truman turned out to be one of the brightest stars in the entire constellation of American politics.

Oh, by the way, I should add, nevermind all the insider-outsider stuff. Why should we place all the Tea Party hopes in Cain just because he’s an outsider. That the other type is what got us into this mess in the first place is no answer. For Cain not being one of the messers does not mean he’s the right outsider. Nor does his being the only viable outsider left make him the right outsider.

That's not an economic plan -- it's a tax plan.

An economic plan would include the dismantling of the tyrannical regulatory agencies and the stabilization of the currency

I'm just sayin'

So is Tucker afraid that Cain will clean up Washington? Clean out the good ole boy’s club and make Washington work for the people instead of stealing from them?

And then you wonder why nothing gets done.

Going to the professional political class to fix the bankrupt US political system is like hiring a drug addict to save your bankrupt pharmacy business.

Cain. Everyone else merely wants to screw around changing this or that to “Fix the system”. Cain is the only one who sees the system itself is the problem.

Oh, dear friend-please don't take this personally, but Cain is very good at pandering and throwing out platitudes and key phrases like: "tea party" and "solutions" and "999" or "909".

Scratch Cain's surface, get past his deer in the headlights look and LISTEN to what he actually says -- what he actually plans to do. I have found Cain to be either deeply confused or patently wrong on many, many issues. LISTEN to all he says--and take note of what he leaves out.

I warn you--if you perform this listening exercise honestly, you will be very, very disappointed.

I was.

He is not serious, getting it wrong regarding the Israel, getting wrong regarding China. Can’t coherently explain his 9-9-9 plan. The commercial was funny the smoking man but seriously running for Pres is a serious job. I don’t care that the Dems voted for Obama, they are liberals and have issues.

I am not a Cain supporter, however I don't dislike the man or resent his presence in the race. My point was only that Tucker was one of the few on Fox being honest about what they really believe. Pretty much none of them take Cain seriously, yet they half pretend they are being fair to him only because they don't want to piss off Cain's Tea Party supporters. In truth, not only do they not support Cain, in their attitude, expressions and mannerisms, I believe they genuinely look down on him.

I don’t expect any single person, even a President Cain, to fix the bankrupt US political system. That’s beyond the power of mortals.

After Obama got elected I said we might eventually need a Pinochet to get rid of him and clean up the marxist mess he’ll leave behind. That could still happen. But it would be drastic.

Why ya raisin Cain?

Let me guess. You probably think 0bama compared to Mr. Cain has far more ability to lead this country and create jobs, eh?

"Why would anyone openly say he would be Mittens VP"

Cain did not say he would be romney's vp. A reporter asked Cain if he would consider being romney's vp. And from what I remember, Cain answered the reporters question by saying he would consider it but only if romney views had changed because from what he'd known of him in the past they had different views. And then Cain strongly added that he himself was running for president not vp and that's what he wanted to talk about.
