European Civil War Inevitable

By Taylor Rose

Though the propaganda said that the religious and ethnic transformation of the United States and Europe was supposed to produce a utopian vision of multiculturalism, this is not happening and something much darker looms on the horizon. In the last month alone, what was once a talking point of immigration restrictionists and Eurosceptics has now made its way into the mainstream halls of European finance and politics. Mainstream commentators are now reporting that because of the impending collapse of the Eurozone and the continuing process of Islamization, the European continent will be plunged into civil strife and possibly civil war sooner rather than later.

Back in early September, a UBS financial advisory report declared that “Under the current structure and with the current membership, the Euro does not work. Either the current structure will have to change, or the current membership will have to change." The UBS report then qualified its statement by stating: “It is also worth observing that almost no modern fiat currency monetary unions have broken up without some form of authoritarian or military government, or civil war.”

This was then amplified shortly afterward by the Polish finance minister, Jan Vincent-Rostowski, who declared to European MEPs that if the Eurozone was to break up, that there would be “…war on the continent within 10 years.…”

The comments of both UBS and Rostowski have long been anticipated by an honest analysis of the Eurozone by right-wing and libertarian economists. Europe's future contains high inflation, high unemployment, a reduction of industrial output, and a reduction in both national and individual wealth consumption. Europe as a whole may resemble Spain in 1935, with hardening factions on both Left and Right and the militarization of both sides in a ruthless competition for power.

The religious, social and ethnic divisions of Europe are extremely deep and one cannot hope for a peaceful resolution to civil strife in times where Left, Right and Islamic factions are currently apocalyptic (and rightfully so) in their outlook. The game has evolved to the point where it is winner take all for the Old Continent.

Even if the Eurozone crisis is resolved, that does nothing to settle the continuing and increasing problem of mass immigration into Europe where as current demographics will lead Europe into an Islamic vs. native civil war within this century.

Many of these predictions could be perhaps written off as “overboard” if it were not for the high qualifications and backgrounds of the messengers. One can look even deeper into the possible dark future of Europe by understanding the reactionary talk of EU president Herman van Rompuy as he has also warned that the EU is fighting for its very survival. Needless to say, the odious van Rompuy thinks the real problem are the European patriots who are fighting for the survival of their peoples. He then described the new European nationalism as a dark cloud of “fear.”

"Fear leads to egoism, egoism leads to nationalism, and nationalism leads to war," he said. "Today's nationalism is often not a positive feeling of pride of one's own identity, but a negative feeling of apprehension of the others. Fear of 'enemies' within our borders and beyond our borders." Perhaps what he is more afraid of is that the bell tolls for his utopian dream of a united Europe under Bolshevism and the authentic European patriots of old are making their way back up into the ranks of power by taking back lost ground politically and socially.

The question then naturally arises for Americans -- would will the United States do as Europe transforms itself? One could be sure that if the United States had the capability, if it is not suffering from its own civil strife by then, that the oligarchs of the American corporatist-socialist world would do everything in their power to prevent European patriots from taking back Europe. Both the corrupt ruling classes of Europe and America have only one fear and one true enemy -- the emerging patriotic Right.

About Youth for Western Civilization

Youth for Western Civilization was incorporated in 2006 and began actively organizing in 2008. The founder was Kevin DeAnna, a graduate student at American University.

While some events were held in the fall of 2008, Youth for Western Civilization first came to public attention in the spring of 2009 by hosting speakers such as Congressman Tom Tancredo, Bay Buchanan and Congressman Virgil Goode. Events were held at campuses around the country including: American University, Vanderbilt University, the University of North Carolina and Providence College.

Since then, Youth for Western Civilization has stirred up debate on controversial issues like illegal immigration, multiculturalism and classical education that were thought to be driven off college campuses. YWC stands alone in challenging the dogmatic left-wing orthodoxy of American higher education.

Youth for Western Civilization is a 501c(3) non-profit educational foundation. All contributions are tax deductible.

Good news that this group exists. Thank you for the information. The Left has had an easy time demonizing conservatives for wanting to support our western heritage. It has to stop!

If so there would probably be blowback on the home front. I should hope so.

I do not think that Europe will experience civil war any time soon, for the simple reason that there is a simple and logical alternative to war, in a return to nationalism, or more properly, nation-hood.

This is because the very notion of pan-Europeanism is based on fallacies. There are three primary ones. The first is that differences in nations and cultures are the cause of war. The second is that differences in wealth and poverty give the impulse to war. And the third is that nations are just arbitrary lines drawn on a map, without any underlying meaning or value.

The reality is far different. Its three primary axioms are first, that nations exist for many reasons, most deeply their underlying traditional legal system that permeates their culture, of which there are several in Europe. The second axiom is that all economics and politics are local. Wealth and poverty have different meanings in different places. And the third that war is a product of the elites, the leaders, be they princes or faceless bureaucrats.

The nations of Europe, more or less in their current form, existed long before there was a pan-European experiment that pretended to erase such borders. If the EU disintegrates, the national borders will still be there.

The easiest way to dispel such silliness as a threat of civil war is to suggest what nations will go to war with other nations. Will Merkel of Germany suddenly decide she has had enough of Sarkozy of France, and send in what little remains of the Bundeswehr to occupy Paris?

Or will Britain’s Cameron try to do as King Henry V and invade France himself? Will the ever belligerent Swedes try to conquer the other Norse countries to create a “Greater Sweden”?

Granted, the Flemish and Walloon of Belgium might split up, but they already wanted to.

No problem. I will keep posting to the FR forums any new interesting articles that come up on the YWC blog.

I agree with you about the demonization that tends to occur. The Left genuinely believes traditional culture to be evil, and is using every resource available to silence dissent that belief. It is in due time that all of us stand up for our heritage against “political correctness” and the other sorts of tools that the media and academia for intimidation. Youth for Western Civilization is dedicated to taking that stand.

4:30 mark at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCmdDP4Wn74 should make it easier to understand the direction our political leaders and bureaucrats would take us if European civil war breaks out.

Fair warning: It’s Napolitano. It would be easy to say she is clueless and in over her head if the arrogance didn’t ooze from her scales.

The new peoples move into in Europe not to assimilate but to dominate. Hello?

The EU could certainly disintegrate peaceably. Many government officials still believe in a united Europe, however. Would they simply give up their power if asked? Civil unrest and ethnic strife has struck countless parts of Europe. I won’t flat-out assume that the governments will resort to war to attempt to solve the problems, but I won’t throw the idea out the window while watching the institutions of the past half-century begin their collapse. Peace has tended to be a rare occurrence in the course of the world’s history.

"Fear leads to egoism, egoism leads to nationalism, and nationalism leads to war," he said.

Nationalism doesn't lead to war. Modern Japan is probably the most nationalist state on the planet, but it hasn't attacked anyone recently. And even when it was attacking others (in the first half of 20th century) it did so not because all Japanese people suddenly developed a collective hatred toward other nations but because the Emperor said so.

Egoism is also a poor motivation for war. If anything, it is anti-war. War is an ultimate altruism, an opposite of egoism. This is because in war a man fights and dies so that someone else can live and be happy. An egoist would never go to war because the war is too dangerous for his precious Himself.

The Europe, IMO, will not go to war over egoism or nationalism. It may, in theory, go to war because leaders of some states send the troops to fight each other (like in Yugoslavia.) But that won't happen among stable states - there is nothing to win and everything to lose. Days of kings and dictators who could win something and hold it are long gone. Besides, some countries in Europe have their own nukes, and the USA can also step in at any time.

What Europe is somewhat more likely to see is a civil war on religious grounds. But this won't happen until Muslims gain the majority. Only then they will start legalizing Sharia, Jizya and other things that most Europeans aren't interested in.

But the most likeliest of them all is submission to whoever wants to rule the Europe. I can't see any country in Europe (besides Switzerland, perhaps) that would even have spirit for a war. The whole idea of Jizya is that it's cheaper to pay than to risk death. We have now our own version of Jizya - the Obamacare mandatory insurance. How many people will go to war against the government over this?

The sight of wealthy, well fed white (British/German/French) tourists will soon wear on the nerves of more marginal EUropean Nations.

Actually, the first signs that war will be coming, will probably be the revitalization of their military forces. They wont make these initial investment shifts very public though. That seems to be the historic norm for the Euro continent, but this situation is unique in the aspect of Muslim immigration. The internal civil war could go hot very quickly due to something completely out of control of the ruling corrupt oligarchies.

Fear leads to egoism, egoism leads to nationalism,

Or more precisely, uncertainty leads to fear, which leads to defensiveness, which leads to aggressive nervousness, which leads to the strengthening of boundaries and defenses, which leads to nationalism. This is why guns and ammo sell like crazy once Obama came into office and why businesses refuse to hire.

Ego is only the bluster needed to mask vulnerability.

A martially-oriented leader can tap into that fear...with surprising results.

Interesting insights. I also wonder if nations filled with people who engage in national strikes to preserve a system where they can retire at the age of 50 are ever going to be able to muster the will to engage in anything so bold as a major military campaign.

This is exactly the question. The Euro-Euros are so inward and self-absorbed it’s nearly impossible to imagine they would fight for something as abstract as culture or national identity. A damn welfare check, yes. But by the time they realize the Muslims have taken over, and they are under Sharia law, it won’t matter. This is a much more insidious version of what happened to the Balkans from about 1200 AD to 1571.
