Seems the moderator wrote, in the link YOU provided: “When you write or create your own content, then it is appropriate to claim yourself as the writer of an article or producer of a video and provide a link to it on your blog.”
Obviously, there was a lot more than a mere video (which I was mocking anyway) in what of mine I linked to. But you didn’t take the time to actually look before acting like you were in a position to judge.
Don’t try to argue that it’s otherwise. Just drop it. Thanks.

The link I provided was to post #552, by Jim Robinson. I left the link “hot” so that you could read to which post it referred on purpose, but somehow you missed it.
As a result, you are responding to things in other posts on that thread which have nothing to do with the question at hand.
No one is saying you can’t link to your blog, or claim authorship. What we are saying is that it’s a rude abuse of the forum to use it as a hit farm for your blog, especially when the article in question is, in truth, hardly worth reading, much less excerpting.
Before you try the same tired old saw - yes, I have posted full articles here on FR, “hotshot.” And there’s a picture of me, my wife, son and a couple of our dogs on my profile page, along with some biographical information you might want to digest before throwing any more insults this way.
If the crap is on the Examiner blog that fact alone is sufficient unto judgement.
