Who Can Beat Obama In 2012?
Flopping Aces ^ | 02-28-11 | Curt

Posted on 02/28/2011 4:44:01 PM PST by Starman417

So the run up for 2012 is fast approaching and I've been contemplating, who could beat Barack Obama? Right now, I'm not seeing anyone beating him. While I see many good candidates on the Republican side I just can't see any being able to seriously beat Obama. Huckabee put it well on GMA, you cannot underestimate the incumbency: (1 minute mark)

[VIDEO AT SITE] or HERE

"I think he is going to be tough to beat," Huckabee said.

“This race is going to be like climbing a ladder pointing toward you because Barack Obama is going to start this race with a billion dollars. He’s going to have no primary opponent,” he said. “The Republicans are going to have a crowded field all elbowing their way under the basket for the layup. And it’s not going to be a layup. It’s going to be a tough shot.”

Karl Rove:

“I consider him a favorite, albeit a slight favorite,” said former George W. Bush adviser Karl Rove. “Republicans underestimate President Obama at their own peril.”

The economy sucks, unemployment is sky high, and he is still polling in the upper 40%...and this is without any campaigning. So it's going to be tough, and right now, at this very moment, I'm not seeing anyone who can beat him but two years is a long time away and much can happen.

A CNN poll released this week asked Americans whether they plan to vote for or against President Obama in 2012. The options were "probably vote for," "probably not vote for," "definitely vote for," and "definitely not vote for." The most popular answer was "definitely not vote for" – chosen by 35 percent of respondents. Only 25 percent say they'll "definitely vote for" the president. 51 percent predict he will lose.

A Gallup poll also released this week might help explain why. Gallup asked respondents whether they approve or disapprove of President Obama's performance in eight areas: health care, the economy, foreign affairs, dealing with Afghanistan, dealing with Egypt, taxes, energy policy, and the federal budget deficit. Of all of these areas, more than half of all Americans approve of President Obama's performance on ... none of them. In all eight areas, fewer than 50 percent approve of his performance.

The big undertaking will be that the Republican candidate will have to unite the establishment AND the Tea Party. That will get them the nomination.

What about the Supreme Court nominees? They are chosen by advice and consent of the Senate. Let the Republican majority Bork any Obama nominees.

Yeah. We know how well the United States Senate has performed in stopping democrat judicial nominees. What Republican majority? The dems run the Senate. If Obama wins in 2012 he will likely strengthen his numbers in the Senate. Right now we have 47 Republicans and as we all know many of them are worthless RINOs. Even some conservative Republicans generally will give a President a lot of latitude in getting his nominees approved.

No - if Obama wins in 2012 he will likely fill several vacancies on the SC with liberal judges.

West called the proposed $100Billion in cuts "Draconian..." before joining with the Democrats to vote against it. He's toast. You only get one "Screw the public" vote, and it's your third strike.

West is all done as a possible presidential candidate. Republicans won't nominate someone just because he's black. He has to talk the talk and walk the walk. West just tripped himself, badly.

Palin~Cain or Palin~Bolton. West screwed the pooch.

“Get ready for Jeb Bush. That is who the Establishment Globalists will foist on us. I am backing Ron Paul again.”

I might not vote for Ron Paul, but I sure as hell won’t ever vote for a Bush again. And that includes that little pinko George P. The Kristol types are already mumbling about how Jeb will make his triumphal entrance in 2012. If he does, and the RINOs manage to squeeze a third clown prince onto the throne, that’s all she wrote for a free USA. Those one-worlder-UN-lovin’ weasels are worse than the Obamanations, no matter what their amen corner choruses out. At least the leftists will stab the country in the front.

Who can beat Obama?

Of the three photos shown at the beginning of the article:

None of the Above.

The latest FOX News Poll showed that 45% of all voters thought that Huckabee and Romney would NOT make a good President.

Sarah Palin fared the worst of all by far with a jaw-dropping 72% of ALL voters believing that Sarah Palin would NOT make a good President.

FOX News Poll (February 7-9, 2011)

Question 3: I am going to read you a list of names. Tell me if you think that person would make a good President or not.

Sarah Palin:

.................YES.........NO.......DK.....Never heard of

ALL...........23%.......72%.........4%.......1%

Dem ...........7%........87%........5%.......1%

Rep ...........40%.......56%.......3%.......1%

Ind ...........25%........69%.......3%.......1%

The Republican Party needs a new face, not retreads, to win in 2012.

Like Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter and Obama, that new face will appear, seemingly out of nowhere, in the Spring of the year of the Presidential election before winning the election.

Anyone but Obama.

As voters go to the voting booth, they will choose Anyone but obama.

No one likes a loser with a bad economy. Obama’s economy is the worst in modern history and he owns it.

Everyone.... Everyone KNOWS Obama is Incompetent. All Obama knows is how to schmooze. He doesn't know how to govern, he doesn't know how to lead. He's mess. Most news worthy item is....

Valerie Jarrett is in charge and America is pissed!

What you said. If someone’s running in the U.S. House, and expects the constitutionalist conservative vote, he’d better be on this list of the 47 Members (all Republicans) who voted to cut spending on every spending cut proposed:

Amash, Bachmann, Broun, Campbell, Chabot, Chaffetz, Coffman, Duncan (TN), Duncan (SC), Flake, Fleming, Franks, Garrett, Gowdy, Graves (GA), Heller, Hensarling, Herger, Huelskamp, Huizenga, Hurt, Jenkins, Jordan, Lamborn, Mack, McClintock, McHenry, Miller (FL), Mulvaney, Myrick, Neugebauer, Paul, Pence, Pompeo, Price (GA), Ribble, Rokita, Royce, Scalise, Schweikert, Scott (GA), Scott (SC), Sessions, Walsh, Wilson, Woodall, and Young (IN).

West is noticeably absent, as are so many other self-styled conservatives. Of course, West is just holding a seat for Georgie P. until he can launder up some authentic imitation Zapata or baseball “income” like the rest of the Bilderburg, er, Bush family has. Then little P. can get back, establish Florida residency again, inherit the Palm Beach house seat, sucker in the Cubans and get himself on a glide path to the White House.

Of course, in West’s defense, even a Lindsey Grahamnesty or McCain imitation could hardly be worse than Ron Klein.

Palin.

"Drill here, drill now" goes over VERY well with $5/gallon (or more) for gas.

Cheers!

They're wrong, as usual.

So are you.

Wait until she starts campaigning: she'll blow everyone else out of the water.

I wish Chris Christie had more experience under his (fairly capacious) belt. The more I read about him, the more I like him. (Oh — but then a lack of experience didn’t slow down The Won, did it?)
