I’d like to see a bill that makes it illegal for politicians to come within a mile of normal Americans. Two miles if they have their hand out.

LOL, King is so ugly I could recognize him at 500 yards, that's probably why he wants to crimp my style with the elected Republican ladies.

"Representative Peter King (R-NY) says he will introduce legislation that would make it a federal crime for anyone to possess a firearm within 1,000 feet of a government official."
How about introducing this - Make it a Federal Crime for any Government Official to come within 1000 of someone in legal possession of a firearm.

This is a good idea. And when there are two protected Federal people together, the keep-away distance should be 2000 feet. When the House is in full session, the gun free zone should be 435,000 feet, or 82 miles. And for SOTU, even more.
To help us recognize the protected people, we need to attach a strobe to their highest point, usually the head. An aircraft strobe beacon should do it. A loud audio chirper can be used that goes BEEP every fifteen minutes will help those visually impaired or people around the corner. Perhaps a runner that precedes the protected one with a different color strobe hat and big sign, so that we’ll know to get ourselves out of the way lest we get apprehended, arrested, arraigned, jailed, lose our jobs and sell our homes for legal fees should we actually exercise our right to be armed within Garand range of these people.

It would be easier to make illegal for a politician to come with in a thousand feet of a gun.

This problem will be solved when congresscritters are all
sealed inside their plexiglas dome. After each election, we just cut a hole in the plexiglas, shove the new critters inside, then seal the hole. Easy.

They don’t have their hands out - that’s for beggars - the ruling class goes directly for your wallet!

Didn’t the Pubbies say that new Legislation must have constitutional cover upon introduction. King thinks he really be a King, Ruling class, My A$$, why is he in the house of Commons and not in the house of Lords. We don’t have 57 states and we don’t have a RULING CLASS!
