Wow. No punches pulled. I hope they do release that tape of which she speaks before election day.

Because of the language, this may get more play, but the following statement is her most important:

“No, they should not compromise on principle. Absolutely not,” Palin said on “Fox News Sunday.”

This may well be the most significant statement any individual in the political arena has uttered in recent times! The key word here is "principle."

For too long, most political discourse has centered on "issues," not "principles." "Issues" come and go, but "principles" are enduring and should not be compromised for political expediency. One may "compromise" on issues, but not on a principle essential to liberty.

America became a beacon of liberty in the world because that unique and special group of individuals we call the "Founders" were not focused on "issues" of the day. Instead, they were focused on and passionate about one goal for themselves and their posterity in this new land: individual liberty--how to achieve it, and how to preserve it.

They shared a common belief that the rights of individuals come from a Creator, not as grants from other human beings.

They had studied the history of civilization. They understood human nature and the tendency to abuse power, once it is acquired, and they sought to prevent such abuses of power in their own form of self-government by relying on enduring principles.

Their debates were on principles, not some issue de jour.

As a result, America became a great place of opportunity for oppressed individuals and families from all over the world.

A study of their principles, of their built-in protections for liberty in the Constitution which resulted from their efforts, might enable this generation of statesmen (if any can be called that) to rebuild our foundations, to relight the flame of liberty in the hearts and minds of the "People," and to assure that future generations will not live in tyranny.

Thomas Jefferson, in his First Inaugural outlined the principles guiding his Administration and concluded:

"These principles form the bright constellation which has gone before us and guided our steps through an age of revolution and reformation. The wisdom of our sages and the blood of our heroes have been devoted to their attainment. They should be the creed of our political faith, the text of civic instruction, the touchstone by which to try the services of those we trust; and should we wander from them in moments of error or of alarm, let us hasten to retrace our steps and to regain the road which alone leads to peace, liberty, and safety."

In recent times, not enough emphasis has been placed on how this or that question about an issue relates to a principle essential to our very liberty as a nation.

We must return to the "road" described by Jefferson if liberty is to survive the assaults by both major Parties over the past 100 years.

Were I her, I would have used the term “traitors” instead.

This is the change I want (hate to use the word now that Obama has ruined it). I want Republicans to call out these liberal dirt bags for voter fraud, media fraud, and all the other fraud on the American people. The old GOP would just take it and never say a peep in the spirit of being nice and professional looking while the liberals would be bashing them on TV the entire time. The new real conservatives won't let that crap stand. We have to fight—not be nice.

Governor Sarah calls a bastard a bastard.

I’ve got a great idea. Let’s run Sarah for President in 2012!

well....the use of the word bastard won’t go over too well with some here

why just last week...I had a powerful dispute with a noted freeper here over the S-word with an asterik in the position of the letter “i”

how will Freepers react to Sarah and her salty spoken word?

for the record I like Palin a lot..

“The Republicans did not make this coming election on Tuesday a referendum on Obamacare and people like Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, and others in the Cocktail Party crowd have said they not only don’t want to defund and repeal Obamacare, but that they are going to bully the newly-elected conservative, Tea Party-backed GOP Congressmen and Senators so that it stays business as usual in the go-along-to-get-along ranks with all these lily-livered sissies who are terrified of rocking the boat and going to all-out-war with the Left.”

VERY interesting angle at

Thanks, missed that while at Mass.

Good for her. I look forward to the first Republican female President in 2012.

These guys should be investigated for campaign finance violations. They are not a legitimate news outlet. They are in fact a political organization.

Notice that Sarah also mentioned the Republican establishment that Joe Miller is also fighting. The same story is also being played out in Delaware. Miller and O’Donnell are not only fighting the dimoKKKRATS but the media and Republican establishment. I can’t wait to hear Rush on Monday.

One more thought. I wonder how the media is playing this in Alaska. Are they covering up the story? I bet Fox might be the only one running with the story.
