I believe he has done well by bringing a long overdue measure of participation to the conservative/libertarian base. I also believe it's a bit insulting to those who already live their lives by Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Buddhist, etc. values to say they aren't doing enough.

To be even fairer, though, you have to say that about any politician or public speaker who says we must return America to its core values. Don't a lot of Americans already share those core values?
I guess I would answer that there's always room for improvement and that there's no way to speak about the need for improvement without making some broad generalizations.
