The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is a catastrophe of historic dimensions, The oil slick we see on the surface of the Gulf of Mexico is just the tip of the iceberg.
Thousands of barrels of oil are spewing into the waters off of Louisiana, and nobody is turning the spigot off. Because the spigot is 5,000 feet underwater, turning it off is a hazardous, uncertain enterprise.
-snip-
Are you getting the picture?
And they complained because President Bush took two days before visiting Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.
I submit that the Horizon incident will not only dwarf the Exxon Valdez, but Katrina as well. Obama might just want to start moseying his way down south.
-snip-
As you might imagine, such an occurrence is an oil companys worst nightmare, and there are fail-safe measures like you would not believe, to ensure that such a thing as what happened, never happens.
-snip-
And yet obviously, something did happen. Whatand was it sabotage? How could so many time-tested automatic back-ups fail, all at the same time? What are the odds?
As Carl Franzen writes, the BOP, the piece of offshore-rig equipment designed to be a drilling operations last line of defense against leaks, failed miserably.
Sabotage is not outside the realm of possibility when trillions of dollars are at stake. The question to ask is: With climate-gate throwing a wrench in the works of Cap and Trade, and the (potentially) extremely lucrative carbon-credit market about to go down the drain, were drastic measures taken? (Here and Here)
Are there any movers and shakers connected with Chicagos CCX scam, who also happen to be connected to Halliburton, BP, or well you get the idea.............
First coal, now oilI suggest you folks at the nuclear power plants be on your toes.

NO! Accident due to cutting corners. Right before this happened they had done some cement work. Similar event occurred near Australia last year. Go ahead and blame the North Koreans or the environmentalists or Obama but know that you make us all look bad by extension.
The question should be “IS IT GENERATED”!!!!!
So explain this The President announced yesterday that the Department of Interior is sending swat teams to inspect all oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.
What in the hell is going on?
Is the White House about to manufacture a crisis over an oil spill with the ultimate aim of seizing all the oil rigs in the Gulf? Swat teams are under the domain of law enforcement agencies, what do they know about drilling activities?
OR
Do they suspect that this is an act of eco- terrorism? Consider who would benefit politically from an oil spill in the Gulf the environmental left.
Stay tuned, something is up.
These aren't SWAT teams like police SWAT like people are speculating. These are a group of specialized disaster response engineers (hat tip HotAir).
... Because he is sending swat teams! They aren’t the same S.W.A.T. teams that P.D.s send in a hostage or raid situation. It just a nickname they stole because they are the badasses in helicopters within their line of work.
Perhaps it was hate speech that incited the greenies to this extreme measure.
Oboma claims to be one of the biggest green supporters on the globe next to Al Gore. He wouldn't have agreed to off shore drilling if he didn't know in advance there was going to be a way out of it.
Never listen to what a politician says. Watch what they do, because their actions speak louder than words.
I believe a question mark was inserted after ‘sabotage’; however, I can’t understand how you could reject the theory out-of-hand without contradictory evidence unless......
Your #6, Unclouded, makes a clouded situation even cloudier.
Trillions of dollars a year would go to the CHICAGO Climate Exchange. There's BIG money involved here.
When Oboma talks about going green, he's not talking about green- as in leaves. He's talking about green as in currency, and a lots of it.
It is not the North Koreans and here is why;

I’m not ruling it out 100% because there hasn’t been proper analysis or recovery of wreckage. I can say it is many many times more likely to be an rare accident than any kind of sabotage or attack.
You know I wonder if Gore was president on 9/11 would FR have hosted truther threads?
Sabotage is extremely unlikely. But I can understand how those that either have not worked offshore or thought too much about what all is involved could get carried away with speculation. This is dangerous stuff and it’s more likely that some sort of accident happened. But none of us know exactly what happened so nothing is off the table.
Personally I’m not so sure its catastrophic.
There was an environmental scientist on FOX this morning who made a few excellent points. He pointed out that the computer model we keep seeing gives the impression of a huge solid slick of oil. The reality is that its many smaller slicks. He also said that the weather is actually helping to disperse the oil throughout the water column where it will be broken down by natural bacteria.
He went on to say that the obvious problem is oil reaching shore and that shoreline type affects the seriousness of the problem. Salt marsh being most fragile and sandy beach being least fragile.
Personally despite the fact that its bad, I think its being hyped by people both left and right for their own reasons.
If you would go to the Mark Levin show, he had a guy that was on the rig when it went up. The 11 men that were kiled were at “point zero” or the point of the blast when it happened. He also stated that it was something that happened from time to time & there was nothing that they could do to prevent it, & that the BOP was damaged by the blast & or the gas bubble that caused it.
Al Gore called for civil disobedience the day before earth day. It sounds like ELF got the message.
Canada proves my point. People have gut instincts. They know things without being able to logically explain how they know them. If a poll were taken within hours of the 'accident' (before the MSM had a chance to spin anything), how would the people have responded? Terrorism, domestic terrorism, or accident. My guess is domestic terrorism would have won.

That's another oddity of this story. What has priority to these people? The MSM went right to the environmental agenda. No one is talking about the dead humans. They're all crying crocodile tears for the animals that may be affected on the beach instead.
Now, everything is "green" ( big, big, money) is back on the table.
Never mind what they say. Watch what they DO.
Bush went right to the dead and their families. If Gore had done the same it would have been one thing, but if - like this 'accident' - he immediately went to disarming every American (for example), yes. I would have questioned the entire incident.
