What an embarrassing self-revelation, he reveals his reading habits are geared to gaining the respect of “respected friends.” Empty suit, empty head.
As a rule:
Conservatives read and study and discuss.
Liberals feel and emote and wheedle.
Conservatives protect and defend, Liberals appease, fawn, and grovel.
Liberals are typically girlie men, also.

Things like this make me want to go out and buy every book out there written by a conservative. But that would be spending money I don’t have, thus making me a liberal, so I’ll stick to borrowing most from the library.

-This is EXACTLY right. Another problem is that they don’t like that some of us have to be the grown-ups to REALLY take care of the hard stuff for them.
Matthews should know all about crap, since he lives in a liberal manure pile. It used to be that liberal elitists complained that conservatives don’t read books. Now the complaint is that they read “crap.” Of course, for Matthews and his ilk, the Bible would be included in the crap list of books.
So, write something better ya ton o' cr@p.

If the Onada crowd has a chance they’ll ban anything they don’t like from libraries. Be prepared to go underground for your reading pleasure.
