The U.S. official position is that it looks forward to "working with any government," but in back-channel messages the Obama administration has made it clear it would like to see a unity government in Jerusalem over a narrow right-wing government which would in all likelihood result in a freeze in peace talks with the Palestinians.

Of course he does. He is in the bag for the Muslims all the way. A unity government would be the end of Israel, when the Arabs started to take power. It would be a crime to allow Jews to be persecuted even more than they are.
Arranging “peace talks” with Palestinians would give the president the inside track to the Nobel Prize that Obama feels he has long been cheated of.
I sort of see his point, afterall both Gore and Carter have Nobels on the mantle in their gamerooms- why not Barry?

Why would anyone expect Mitchell to proceed differently than he is, given that Mitchell is an ethnic Arab by heredity and rearing in an Arab-American enclave in Maine? In addition, he has had cozy relationships with Arab ethnic organizations in the US. Naturally, the MSM declined to even mention Mitchell's Arabist background and biases when Clinton, then O, appointed him as an Israeli-Arab "peacemaker."
