*Breaking* Ayers Advises Obama on a Regular Basis

We have asserted at the TD Blog for months that Barack Obama has known, and has had close associations with –let’s be real, they are FRIENDS – Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, unrepentant leaders of the terrorist group Weather Underground, since at least the 1980s.

We have written several articles about this [see list at end].

Now Steve Diamond of Global Labor and Politics, the leading researcher and authority on the subject, has received confirmation of our assertions. He broke the story Sunday on his blog. Read what Diamond says carefully; pay attention to the words in bold:

"The relationship between the Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate Barack Obama and Bill Ayers, the founder and leader of the now defunct terrorist organization Weather Underground, is deeper and closer than currently understood, according to an individual who has had a senior role in the Obama candidacy that has included direct contact with the candidate.

The source has stated that Obama and Ayers have a direct personal relationship that extends back to the 1980s and that there are now close ties between both Michelle and Barack Obama and Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, also a former leader of the Weather Underground. Global Labor believes the source to be highly credible but has not been able to confirm independently the comments made by the source.

The source has said that either Obama himself or his wife Michelle communicate with Ayers or Dohrn on a regular basis, up to “several times a week,” including discussions about the “vetting” of potential advisors to the campaign as well as potential appointments to staff positions in the new administration should Obama win the presidential race.

The source continues to support the Obama candidacy but has expressed serious concern about the influence of what is known in the campaign as the “Ayers camp” on the candidate."

Although this new information is highly disturbing, it’s not shocking to me. We have believed all along that the Obamas were close friends with this couple.

If Diamond’s source is accurate, this of course means not only that Obama has blatantly lied about the extent of his relationship with Ayers and Dohrn, but that domestic terrorists with a revolutionary agenda are advising Barack Obama, who may become President-Elect tomorrow. Diamond reminds us:

"Ayers and Dohrn continue today to advocate an authoritarian political agenda based on their view of America as a congenitally racist country. A book they plan to publish early next year is called Race Course Against White Supremacy. They travel regularly to Venezuela where Ayers has expressed strong support for the authoritarian regime of Hugo Chavez."

1968 - I was 12 at the time. I’m pretty sure I had a clock radio that was set to turn the radio on in the morning instead of just blaring an alarm. I seem to recall hearing about both RFK’s and MLK’s assassination by means of hearing it on the clock radio when I woke up. OTOH, I vividly recall watching both the Chicago convention as well as the Russian tanks rolling into Czechoslovakia on B & W TV - course it was summer time then and I could stay up later and watch TV.

My mom had an interesting story that I just learned about Nov. 22 1963. At the time she had a 1956 Ford. Which had no radio. She was driving around town doing errands. She saw people acting erratically and strangely but had no idea why. Of course in short order she found out why. But initially she had no idea.

Kind of interesting how technology changes how we remember the “what were you doing moments”.

I can remember finding out about 9/11 while on FreeRepublic.
