Thanks gnarledmaw for the ping. The Hindi used to eat beef, but I just read a recent diatribe opposed to that view, saying the sacred cow has always been sacred. The Aryans destroyed the Harappan Civilization in the Indus Valley on the way in, and their ancient literature describes a nomadic people who sacked cities. This is a screwy theory.

Uh-oh. Any minute now someone will arrive and accuse me of being Anti-Hindu or something worse. I'm sweatin' now.
