My mother used to do that too, but now she can't hear well enough to talk on the phone. Now she fusses if I don't email her every few days, yet she almost never responds to my emails, even if I ask questions.

I used to live downtown Atlanta 300 w. peachtree blvd. apt #??? I loved atlanta. I worked for Bank South in systems and tech. by the airport. Learned to not say "redneck" in small towns outside of atlanta too... people don't take kindly to that. was there when the KKK walked in 1989 (or so) in a small town about 40 miles from atlanta. Can't remember the name.

Redneck and hillbilly don't bother me but I'm real careful about who I call either.

Thanks! I've been here in Georgia most of my life too. I like the area I live in a lot but wish I could live a little outside of town to get away from all the college students and traffic.

So yall are old friends huh
lol! I noticed he claimed to be conservative, I will say after reading his post, I do wonder just how conservative.
I can relate to your anger about this country
some times its hard not to be angered by current events. Makes me wonder just where we are headed sometimes...

don't know about that. I just helped them install a universal deposit system. Never got into that area. Just programmed their computers and stuff (old timer programming old time puters)

The KKK still walks a bit in southeastern Kentucky. I lived near the border in TN for a while and use to read announcements of gatherings by the KKK in the newspaper all the time. I was just so surprised at them putting announcements in the paper.

We'll get there but it will be a long road. We will stumble and wander til we follow the light. I stay alert. I don't worry about the internet boogey man.

He was Dan Rather...I figured it out after he left just in time to get ready for the evening newscast. That is why he was afraid to call Flurry, because he just knew his voice would be recognized!

Thanks. I guess I read it once a month. I have gotten copies back from people all over the internet with positive and negative comments. It is how I felt and how I feel. I love my country and I love people. I even love Protagorus but he didn't want to talk. He was bent on getting the last word in no matter what the word was. No one wants to roast anyone but that mother deserves much worse than she got. Had it been one of my kids or a niece or nephew the perp would no longer be with us.

I went and read it again Flurry, it moved me just as much the second time... once again great job. I also read some of the responses... it never ceases to amaze me at the liberal stance on defending our country... sigh...
Let me ask you something, I am a moderator of a small message board, would you have any objection to me copying and posting your letter there? I really think the other people there would enjoy reading it.

Tuscaloosa is the spelling. I'm a Bama fan but both my kids graduated Auburn on my money. Life is tuff. They wanted to be close to Georgia.

Feel free to use it. Just don't put my phone number on it. I'd like to keep that line open for Protag.
