I feel a 25-year sentence fits the crime in this case." I hope the child goes to visit Mom at least every week for 25 years.

Why is this "woman" still alive?

The only cure for that kind of insanity is a .22 right behind the ear.

"How in the world could a mother do that to her child?" said Christie Fuller of Coosada, who has two children. "I hope she was temporarily insane or something like that. I can't accept a sane person could do something like this." And that, my friends, is why our "justice" system is in the state that it is. Mushy-headed people deny the existance of evil. Instead, they want to lay the cause of the evil in our society at the feet of "mental illness", thereby exonerating the criminal from any real responsibility for their actions. I'm sure this noodle-brained soccer mom means well, but I wish that her and her ilk would react more with their minds, rather than their feeeeeelings.

Yes, it's about time that people recognized that people can be both sane & evil. A good example of this from the world of fiction is Hannibal Lecter... reading the book Silence of the Lambs gives you an unsetlling sense that they guy knows exactly what he is doing, is in full possession of his faculties, and kills simply because he wants to.

I think Mom should get to go to the Lion's Club Labor Day Barbeque. They have a huge grill. Let her spend that 25 years with a touch of hickory smoke.

Mean as hell just about sums it up. Tried to do a search for a pic of mommy of the year, but couldn't find one.
Oh, and the punishment doesn't fit the crime...

Thank God she got a real sentence and a real judge. Three weeks ago, a woman in Racine, Wisconsin got 9 months of jail time with work release priviliges after stabbing her newborn in the face (to death). There is no good answer for that abortion of a judges sentence.
To: hobbes1
Hell no that's to easy. Put her @ss in the oven with the broiler on.

The only cure for that kind of insanity is a .22 right behind the ear. You're only half right. I wouldn't do the job with anything less than .38.
