The man told doctors who treated him that he could still urinate, but it had become uncomfortable to do so.

Surgeons chose to remove the ring using an electric grinder, which are often relied on to cut through metal.

Doctors able to pull the ring off after it was broken, releasing the man's member.

Cutting metal creates heat, so the man’s penis had to be sprayed with 'continuous saline injection' to cool it down during the procedure.

Medics also inserted a metal plate between the ring and penile skin to prevent burn or pressure injury.

Writing in the journal, doctors explained that penis rings reduce blood flow through the veins, which causes the penis and testicles to sw

I’m guessing they softened him up before surgery by dumping a pitcher of ice water on his lap while showing him pictures of Helen Thomas and Hillary’s (alleged) up-skirt shots.

We actually went to Lowes or Home Depot and bought new tools and pile of those about 1” cut off wheels. I was the mechanic/tool guy so I got the job doing it. We just went slow and had to cool the race periodically. I managed to get some little piece of metal under it so I wouldn’t be cutting flesh when the wheel broke through.

I about squeezed the tool in half holding it fearing it would buck.

He should have spent some time in the pool. Major shrinkage. Like a frightened turtle.

Good to know it can be done. I have no reason to remove my wedding ring, but a swollen knuckle means I couldn’t even if I wanted to.

Couldn’t they have just induced significant shrinkage?

Wouldn’t a sharp knife been quicker and easier than using a grinder?

Lorena Bobbitt could have had that off before he said “ouch”.

“A bolt cutter would have worked just as well. LOL!!”

That was my thought as well. WTF, a grinder, lol. I watched the doctors do some brain surgery and the drilling through the skull made me laugh. There is better tech out there. We had a special type of drill bit in industry we used a lot. It cut through steel like butter, especially screw size holes. RotaCut™ Sheet Metal Cutters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GSgvkacLJ4
