They aren’t fascist, they are communists. Communism is to the left of fascism.
In 1930’s Germany, there were two left wing parties vying for power, the fascists and the communists. The anti-fascist movement, Anti-fa, used violence against anybody who wasn’t a communist, stating they were attacking fascism. It didn’t matter who they were attacking, as to them, they were defending communism.
That is who these thugs are.

Being communist, they are anti-freedom, but their historical roots is in the anti-fascist, meaning anybody who isn’t communist.
