Pamela Anderson is speaking out against pornography.
“This is a public hazard of unprecedented seriousness given how freely available, anonymously accessible and easily disseminated pornography is nowadays,” she penned in a joint op-ed with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach in Thursday’s Wall Street Journal.
The unlikely pair wrote the piece in the wake of Anthony Weiner‘s latest sext scandal, in which he was caught sending a crotch shot in the presence of his young son.
She looked pretty washed up/used up 10 years ago ...can only imagine what she looks like now.
No need. If I ever get dementia, those images will be the last encoding still flickering in the snapses of my brain.

She’s got a very real point, and while her private tapes did get out, hardly would I call her a porn star.... her career was certainly selling her sexuality, but it wasn’t porn... more tittilation.
Wonder why she is coming out with this now, are her kids finally old enough she is seeing the effects?

Lots of negative comments here. I don’t know much about this but have you considered that what she believed in the past and what she believes now might be different?
I have met more than one woman who either did porn or worked as an escort who eventually figured out it wasn’t healthy for anyone.
And now we’ve been reminded that Pamela Anderson exists. Which was really her point I suppose.
Coming from her it’s like having Amy Winehouse lecturing us that drugs & liquor kill.

It can’t be stopped as long as the internet exists. All we can do is accept it and educate kids about it.
The majority of internet traffic and storage space is devoted to porn. Several of the top 5 websites on earth are porn.
Even if you shutdown all new productions, there is already enough porn in existence to last someone a lifetime.
Hell, even if you shutdown the entire internet, kids would be trading memory sticks at school and making HUGE money from them. Unlike the magazines of yesteryear, any kid can copy them in a second.
She was the star of pretty much the first “celebrity sex tape” that started the whole phenomenon (there were a few before her, but that was pre-internet so they didn’t get as widely distributed).
Now, supposedly her husband and her intended the tape to be private and she didn’t agree to have it released, so I wouldn’t technically consider her a “porn star”.
