Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is at the center of the latest "birther" conspiracy. But he's not the first to face this line of questioning.
A handful of politicians have been targeted in the last few years with the same accusation -- that they are not fit for the Presidency because they do not meet the constitutionally-mandated eligibility requirement of being a "natural-born" U.S. citizen.
Confusion around who qualifies as a "natural born" citizen has contributed to the debate, as the Constitution does not explicitly define the phrase. Some incorrectly presume it only includes people born within the boundaries of the United States. In fact, by U.S. citizenship law you can be American "at birth" or a "natural born citizen" under a few circumstances that don't involve being born on the mainland. For example, if you're born on a U.S. military base abroad, like in Panama, that counts. You are still categorized as being American "at birth" if one or both of your parents are U.S. citizens and fit a list of long and complicated requirements that arebroken down here.

Much later, Gov. Abercrombie confirmed Adams was telling the truth. I don’t recall seeing a post from anyone apologising to him for falsely accusing him of something he didn’t do.

Sven, look at your paycheck. If it doesn't say "SCOTUS" your opinions, interpretations of case law, administrative practice, and the allegedly relevant statutes and rulings are strictly your business and worth no more or no less than the opinions of the wildest-eyed VRWC "Birther" out there.
We are all parties to a massive distraction. While our President ignores governance to swan his way about the land on AF1 to play golf and to hook up with Reggie Love*, and there is no opposition Program, Plan, or Leader, why not direct your remarks to the High Courts as a friendly encouragement?
The SCOTUS has to date received and rejected many absolutely valid appeals they should have used to rule on citizenship and eligibility issues once and for all. Your charmingly off-base citations of often-conflicting Federal Codes, Regulations, Past Decisions and modern immigration practice are of little help, except to emphasize that official action must be taken. It's not FREEP, the Bar at the Elks Lodge, or the better one at the VFW that's going to decide this. It simply has to be the Supremes, who to their everlasting discredit and the endangerment of the Republic, have absolutely taken a course of studied evasion.
The SCOTUS. It's the real [people on that court ... Scalia, Alito, Thomas ... who are the appropriate target of the bandwidth at our disposal. Perhaps they are left with a modicum of shame over the Court's failure to address the issue.

What does that mean?
At one time the Congress of the United States indicated that those born to parents who were US Citizens - regardless of where in the world they were could be considered as natural born Citizens. The only reason to declare this was ensure that children born abroad (Europe) during the early days of the country could still qualify to hold the office of President.
So in 1790 WHERE you were born was not considered a factor. Jus sanguis ruled the day. Jus soli - not so much.
Now with the mis-interpreted 14th Amendment and the misconstrued WKA ruling it seems that jus sanguis is no longer a factor at all and the ONLY thing that counts is jus soli - a factor completely discarded in 1790.
The Supreme Court has ruled on what a natural born Citizen is. It is in black and white in M v. H.
It disqualifies Cruz, it disqualifies Jindal and others to hold the office of President regardless of their popularity. It disqualified McCain. And that is how we got here. At least McCain met a the 1790 standard.
In 1790 the men who saw this country built indicated what they considered the most critical factor in qualifying for the office of President - citizenship as acquired naturally and passed down from the parents.

Sven, do YOU have a ‘video, jpeg or pdf file of the information’ of Obama’s ‘Certificate of Naturalization’ or ‘Loss of Nationality’ to back your claims up? A simple yes or no answer would be suffice.

Explain how 0hbama's opponent's sealed divorce records were released and splashed across Illinois tv and newspapers just before his senate election.
No one cared about damage to the opponent's children and family.
Supporters of Obama in Illinois, the news media, were able to successfully convince a Judge to unseal Obama’s political opponent’s divorce records under the premise the public had a right to know about the private life of a candidate for U.S. Senate running in an Illinois election. The records were not unsealed to be litigated.
Obama’s original long form BC was sealed and archived after the Soetoro Adoption was finalized. The HI Court ordered the original to be sealed and for the HI Registrar to create and file a COLB with the name Barry Soetoro and his parents as Stanley Ann Soetoro and Lolo Soetoro.
In 1971, BHO Sr. returned to HI to complain in Court he had not consented to the Soetoro adoption and had not been properly notified. Stanley testified the Soetoro adoption should remain in place because BHO Sr. was not the biological father; even though, she attested in 1961 BHO Sr. was the biological father on the original long form BC. The Court annulled the Soetoro Adoption and ordered the HI Registrar to create a COLB with the name Barack Hussein Obama II and the father as Barack Hussein Obama II and the mother as Stanley Ann Dunham. The original could not be unsealed because the Court heard testimony one of the attestors, had sworn in 1971 she lied in 1961. The new COLB, with “date filed”, indicates the Court determined the facts of the Obama’s birth record and order those facts to be filed by the registrar.
Obama’s original long form BC will not be unsealed for litigation. Hawaii has a statute on the books that allows adult adoptees to obtain a copy of their original birth record for geneaology purposes, but the document is marked as “not a legal document” or “sealed by order of the Court.” Consequently, Obama had to edit his copy of his original before he posted on the WH website to coverup the fact his original has been sealed and not available for litigation in any Court for any purpose.
Since Obama’s original long for BC cannot be litigated for any reason, it’s pointless to get it unsealed.
