I will grant you that the guys on the team are probably good guys but can you not see that the flash and crash method to serving warrants is dangerous for the public, look if you have have a detctive knock on the door and he takes fire you can use a SMAW on the house for all I care at that point but to send 4-10 masked folks into a house at 0300 is not the way to serve search or arrest warrants.
Like I said, chivalry is dead. Any time a suggestion comes out "hey can't they take it a little more cautiously" the retort comes back "well, I want to go home that night." Meanwhile, per capita the gardeners are stabbing themselves to death with their hedge clippers more often than officers fall to miscreants.
Even the feds (and most professional PD's)knock before entering, and ID themselves before knocking down the door, even SWAT teams.
