MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Thursday on his show “Morning Joe” that viewers should change the channel if they were too stupid to realize that the protests on college campuses are hurting President Joe Biden’s chances of winning in November. Discussing the Vietnam War protests, Scarborough said, “I was young and remember my parents asking, what in the world is going on in this country? And, of course, you know, they were raised in the Great Depression and rural Georgia. It was kind of hard for them to hear rich kids on the campus of Harvard are taking over or...

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) sounds the alarm that the roughly 300 pro-Hamas protestors arrested by NYPD Tuesday night at Columbia University and City College of New York may not be students— but rather part of radical terrorist organizations. Adams said that when he became aware that the majority of the pro-terrorism protestors weren’t students but professional agitators, he promised to fight for the American “way of life” as the demonstrators continued to harass Jewish communities. “Once I became aware of the outside agitators who were part of this operation, as Columbia mentioned in their letter and their...

Daily Readings from the USCCB“If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.” John 15:10When Jesus spoke the line above, He followed it by saying, “I have told you this so that my joy might be in you and your joy might be complete.” These two lines, taken side by side, provide a helpful unity of Jesus’ teaching regarding holy obedience to Him. First, Jesus speaks of the necessity of keeping His commandments. To some, such a statement, when taken by itself, can seem burdensome,...

X is for... In 1895, the physicist Wilhelm Röntgen discovered X-rays, a groundbreaking moment in medical history which would lead to myriad improvements to people’s health. Perhaps one overlooked benefit though was in relation to mental health, specifically of those tasked with making alphabet books. How did they represent the letter X before X-rays? Xylophones, which have also been a popular choice through the twentieth century to today, are mysteriously absent in older works. Perhaps explained by the fact that, although around for millennia, the instrument didn't gain popularity in the West (with the name of “xylophone”) until the early...

With all the focus on Joe Biden's decline in mental acuity, have we overlooked the possibility that his phone buddy Joe Scarborough is also suffering some short-term memory loss? The question arises in light of this comment Scarborough--now in his seventh decade--made on today's Morning Joe. "You know, Jen [Palmieri], there is a stereotype of the Trump voter that the media does. Oh, people are stumbling drunk out of their trailer park and, you know, shooting raccoons or something like that. No, it's bankers. It's lawyers. It's people with advanced degrees." So Scarborough rips the MSM for stereotyping MAGA as...

I am speaking of a $95-billion foreign military aid package that includes $61 billion for Ukraine. ### The West found a foreign leader ready to serve its interests of weakening Russia by sacrificing the Ukrainian people and their country for money and glory. In the Western media, Zelensky is now George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Winston Churchill together. I doubt that any of them or his heirs would be thrilled being compared to someone who converted his own country into a foreign mercenary legion. ###Provoking, funding, and prolonging the war between the two Christian nations who lived together for over...

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) received a stunning rebuke Wednesday on what should have been a slam-dunk resolution to oppose antisemitism followed by a rare procedural defeat on legislation to clarify mining regulations. The events, hours after Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) announced they would force a vote to expel Johnson, do little to show Johnson has a firm hand on the wheel. The Antisemitism Awareness Act, introduced by Reps. Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Jared Moskowitz (R-FL), would mandate that when the Department of Education enforces federal anti-discrimination laws it uses a definition of antisemitism put forward...

(NASA, ESA, CSA, Ralf Crawford (STScI)) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scientists using NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) have successfully mapped the weather on a planet 280 light years away. Earlier detections made by older space telescopes had hinted at the presence of an atmosphere on WASP-43b, however, the instruments aboard the JWST are the first to measure the actual weather in the planet’s atmosphere. “With Hubble, we could clearly see that there is water vapor on the dayside. Both Hubble and Spitzer suggested there might be clouds on the nightside,” explained Taylor Bell, a researcher from the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute...

The following is an excerpt from Tulsi Gabbard's new book, For Love of Country: Leave the Democrat Party Behind, published by Regnery and out April 30.As we sat on the bus traveling through Alabama, stopping at several historically significant sites of the Civil Rights Movement in Alabama, John Lewis and some of his fellow Freedom Riders shared firsthand accounts of what they experienced. About 600 people, most of them Black, lined up on one side of the Edmund Pettus Bridge, named after the last Confederate general to serve in the U.S. Senate, who was also the leader of the Alabama...

The US military has withdrawn troops from a French military base in Chad after the country demanded they leave last month, a Pentagon spokesperson and other sources familiar with the matter told CNN on Wednesday. More than half of the US troops stationed at the French military base in Chad’s capital, N’Djamena, have now left the country and relocated to Germany. CNN previously reported that fewer than 100 US troops were stationed in Chad, most of them as part of the US’ Special Operations Task Force, an important hub for US Special Operations Forces in the region. The Special Operations...

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman accused of squatting in a Jacksonville home more than a year ago is now facing criminal charges. The woman, who seemingly disappeared after being evicted, was arrested in Duval two weeks ago on misdemeanor trespass and criminal mischief charges. She appeared in court for an arraignment Wednesday. Records show she was arrested on April 15 and spent two days in jail before being released on a $10,000 bond. News4JAX learned Wednesday that a warrant for her arrest was issued in June of 2023. In March 2023, body camera footage and a report from the Jacksonville...

Overwhelming majorities of Americans have lost their trust in the media to accurately report the news, according to a new poll out Wednesday. In a survey from the American Press Institute and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, a whopping 83 percent of respondents said they were concerned the media would “report inaccurate information or disinformation” in their 2024 election coverage. Eighty-one percent said they are worried the media will report unverified information, and 77 percent said they feared the media would stick to the facts — but be dishonest in their framing, only covering things favorable to...

Over the last decade, Ukraine has been the battleground in a proxy war between the U.S. and Russia – a conflict massively escalated by the Kremlin’s invasion in 2022. The fight erupted in early 2014, when Biden and his team, then serving in the Obama administration, supported the overthrow of Ukraine’s elected president, Viktor Yanukovych. Leveraging billions of dollars in U.S. assistance, Washington has shaped the personnel and policies of subsequent Ukrainian governments, all while expanding its military and intelligence presence in Ukraine via the CIA and NATO. During this period, Ukraine has not become an independent self-sustaining democracy, but...

…This bill prohibits active shooter drills or trainings in schools from including specified activities that may be traumatic for students or school personnel. It also requires local school systems to (1) notify parents in advance of active shooter drills or trainings in schools; (2) provide mental health follow-up to students and school personnel after an active shooter drill or training; and (3) collect data on the effectiveness and psychological impact of the drills or trainings and report the data to the Maryland Center for School Safety (MCSS) for further analysis. Finally, the bill requires MCSS to develop and distribute model...

In a normal year, May 1 is known as National College Decision Day, the deadline for students to commit to enrolling at a college, guided in part by their financial aid awards. But the Biden administration’s disastrous rollout of a new financial aid application has left tens of thousands of families in the dark about their students’ future and prompted several universities to push back their enrollment deadlines. As of April 19, completed FAFSA applications were down nearly 30%. At best, it means many students and parents don’t know how much it will cost to attend college in the fall....
