I have been a daily reader for years.
So I've missed a lot of chances to put in my 2 cents. But, who missed me, right?
9/07 ha! 4 years and now that statement makes me laugh.
Vietnam "era" vet. Only took 30 years to get any respect for those of us who "only" served. (I was in Ft. Lewis in jungle fatigues when Nixon cancelled the flights.)
And 30 years for me to realize what it meant to me and my understanding of being an American.
I was 3rd generation with same name in family to enlist for war. (others farther back have Civil War...)
Nationality: American, when family traces to 1600s in America there is no hyphen needed.
