I was surfing the 'net looking for sites that were veterans against John Kerry. I was an 18 y.o. marine when I went to VN in 4/69-3/70 and distinctly remember Kerry and his friends protesting while we were still there. I was in VN when I remember Jane Fonda (I think while I was there) sitting at that NVA anti-aircraft gun while she was in Hanoi - since then I haven't watched any movie or program with her in it, it's my own personal protest against her that many people I'm sure think is infantile. I also remember Kerry from that same period: the way he Extremely protested and brushed those vets with the worst accusations and allegations. I have heard no apology from him or attempts to clarify/mitigate what he said. I can only assume that he still means what he says. As for his being over there and winning the Silver Star, I can only deduce that the character of the man does not match his actions - I guess the Navy has there own way of awarding medals!
