This is not the Free Republic I joined 6 years ago ( Aug 1996 ) and attended various functions including the Freeper Ball in 2000.

I still think that Free Republic has a lot to offer but I *and others* have to filter the crap and senseless from the information we are looking for. There is a lot of (putting down others), (bad mouthing) and *downright harassment* which used to be rare. Now it is common.

Long live free speach and civil intercourse. (Discourse) I personally prefer the thought of public intercourse......!
