Hmmmm.... what to say.
I'm an endangered species. That is to say, I'm a right-wing "fundie" Christian living in the Seattle, WA area (live in Tacoma, work in Seattle).
Born and raised in rural Idaho (red-state bred), I then joined the Air Force. I wasn't exactly a world traveller in the Air Force, but did get to see several Western states. :) My wife was a big support to me at that time, and still is. We were stationed at McChord AFB, WA when I was medically separated. We made a brief return to Idaho (1 year), but found we really enjoyed Western Washington, so we returned. I work as a compliance officer for the State of Washington (a regulatory agency which shall remain nameless), and work part time on our online Christian apologetics ministry.
I am madly in love with my wife of 18 years (Cherokee Conservative). We have several "children", all quadripeds -- two dogs, a cat, and a bunch of squirrels. My wife and I are both avid and responsible gun owners.
- Whoever shall introduce into public affairs the principles of primitive Christianity will change the face of the world." - Benjamin Franklin
- God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever. - Thomas Jefferson
- It cannot be emphasized to strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here. - Patrick Henry
- On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed. - Thomas Jefferson
- You seem
to consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions; a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy
. The Constitution has erected no such single tribunal, knowing that to whatever hands confided, with corruptions of time and party, its members would become despots. - Thomas Jefferson
- "Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?" - Galatians 4:16
- Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ, our only Sovereign and Lord. - Jude 3,4
