Although I only registered in July 2001, I have been a devoted daily lurker on Free Republic since well before the Lewinski scandal. I enjoy coming here for the wealth of articles, and the comments provided by Freepers. The Freeper comments range everywhere from insightful to hilarious to absurd. I enjoy them all. I consider myself a strict constructionist constitutionalist. I believe that the founders were endowed by God with an insight into the human condition rarely, if ever, seen before or after. The masterpieces created during that period should be revered by every American. The politicians we have today would not be able to hold an intelligent conversation on political history and philosophy with the great minds of the American Revolution. Indeed, in general, Americans today are ignorant on these topics. It is almost without doubt that the Republic is doomed for that very reason.
