I am a conservative who has been discouraged with first the Democratic Party and now the Republican Party. I still believe that the Republican Party holds more to my beliefs than does the Democratic Party, and thus the Republicans need to listen more to the people who voted them in rather than their own conscience. All politicians - whether Republican or Democrat - should remember that all law eminates from One Eternal and Almighty God in Heaven. For those who doubt this, go to Exodus 20 to read how the nation of Israel was established. While we are not a theocracy (Constitutional Amendment #1 forbids Congress from establishing a national religion, but turns right around and says that Congress cannot establish a law forbidding the free exercise of that religion), nevertheless one cannot help seeing a correlation between laws of the land and the Law as established by Jehovah God Almighty.

I believe that many things should be eliminated from our government and returned to the States so that we have a limited Central Government that allows the States to run their governments as they see fit. As it is now, all but three states allow federal funding to help them; and when the Federal Government gets involved, you do what the Federal Government says to do or the federal funding gets reduced or eliminated all together.

May God open the hearts and minds of the New Congress before it's too late to do anything about it. May he also strengthen the hand of our President to use the Power of the Veto Pen, as I believe that neither chamber of Congress has the 2/3rds majority to overturn his Vetos.
