My name is Amy. I am 29 year's old My husband's name is Brian. He is 36 year's old. We have been happily married since July 25th 1998. Brian and I both have cerebral palsy. We use motorized wheelchair's to get around outside. Due to our disabilites we decided NOT to have children of our own. Yet we are the proud parent's of a five and a half year old parakeet named YANKEE DOODLE whom I adopted on 4th of July 1996. We also have many niece's and nephew's. We both are very interested in Politics and anything regarding the Republican Party. We worked tirelessly on GWB's Campaign. We were able to meet him on several occasion's. We have also volunteered to help many of our local republican's get elected. Unfortunately, There are aren't many disabled Republican's so Brian and I were very happy to find each other. We met through a support group for physically disabled adult's. Other Interest's include...... Football "New England Patriot's" and "Minnesota Vikings" During the season we scream our head's off, traveling, reading, Theater, Brian loves the RED SOX I am a Major Lucille Ball fan since 1998 When I first read her autobiography, "Love, Lucy" and found out she too was disabled. She was diagnosed as a young teen with rheumatiod arthritis and lost her ability to walk for four year's. She was a guinea pig for expirmental medication and durable medical equipment, through a clinic run by Columbia University. During this time she also modeled for Hattie Carnegie "A famous fashion designer." She poised for 95% of her modeling photo's from her teen year's sitting down in a chair, because she was unable to stand for the required time to model. Lucy was the first physically disabled professional model. Even though, She eventually regained her ability to work she was on medication and injection's for the rest of her life, was hospitalized frequently, almost died 8 times, because of her autoimmune disorder. Lucy remained a strong avocate for disabled people till she died and I was happy to go to Jamestown this year for Lucy-Desi Day's. Brian and I are hoping to be able to travel to Washington, DC, as neither one of us has ever been. WE ALSO HATE THE CLINTON'S WITH A PASSION!!!!! Hopefully Brian will join Free Republic too. He has yet to pick a screen name. lol. We enjoy talking to other Republican's. We are RIGHT!!! That other party is just what's LEFT!!!!! The Democrat symbol they picked is the perfect one the symbolizes them perfectly.
